They would get more if the block rewards was 40 xmg instead of .90, so it would benefit them too. instead of asking pool to limit hashrate, what about changing the difficulty/reward to reflect on the fact that since the beginning of the year, the coin has a max net hasrhate around 200MHash/s (in bad day) and not anymore 75MH/s as it was the case last year... (and basically the 250kh/s per user rule, is kinda stupid), I mean nothing forbid someone to register 10-50 account to stay below the limit... everybody has been blaming minerclaim (me included ), but the fact is that big user, is the only one donating to minerclaim while everyone just pay the minimum fee... so well, it isn't really in best interest of minerclaim to stop him...

Think another contributing factor was sites like Supranova (and others) dropping XMG from their list of mining pools, Most of those miners jumped over to Minerclaim, So instead of a lot of large and small "pooled hashrates" competing for blocks we've got a single huge pool dominating the coin at the moment. Hopefully as things settle down a few more pools will either come back or be created and start to pick of miners from Minerclaim. (One can only hope!)

I think it's safe to say that the network is back to normal... well, as normal as it'll get. It's probably safe to change " listen=0" back to " listen=1" in everyone's magi.conf. I did, and I'm matched up with CryptoID. I think it'll take an act of a higher power to get people to move their miners away from Minerclaim. Unfortunately, Minerclaim is where the money's at. That's why I'm tossing all my hashpower at it. I might switch over to some other pool as soon as I have enough balance to start staking, but for now, I just have to keep chipping away at it.

Just depends if people happy in a large pool getting lots and lots of tiny amounts of XMG over a week, or (like me) jump into a smaller pool and get a few larger chunks over the same timeframe. In my personal experience of being a very low hashrate miner (90kh/s in total) things tend to come out roughly equal between types: i.e. after Christmas and before the split, a week in a huge pool i'd get roughly the same amount of XMG as I would get in a smaller pool over the same time frame. Just need to see if things keep going like that from now on...

really nice to see nice amount of users on XpoolX
Unlike Minerclaim. they haven't had any downtime or issues with coins, chain syncing, etc. for the past few weeks to month.
Time to boycott Minerclaim. they are harboring the whalers.

Strange... xpoolx has a KH/S limiting rule, but computersaint just got over 50% of the block reward and sent almost 2 million shares for block 1828623. He has to be well over 250 KH/S.

there is a glitch with the way Hashrates are showed on the site. he is going to be fixing that glitch this week. (6:41 PM) XpoolXAdmin: That ia because it's exponencial, the more high diff share, the more hashrate (6:41 PM) XpoolXAdmin: I will fix it this week (6:41 PM) XpoolXAdmin: But jeremy is right (7:08 PM) worlwide: XpoolXAdmin: I will fix it this week: I'm confused, Fix it how? Are you saying you can manipulate diff versus hashrate in your pool? (7:33 PM) XpoolXAdmin: lol no (7:33 PM) XpoolXAdmin: I can manipulate how frontend interpret the shares (7:57 PM) worlwide: Oh, I see. I can look forward to more realistic user hashrates then, correct? Thanks. (9:05 PM) XpoolXAdmin: Yes

I mentioned it to him a few days ago as well and he will fix the issue this week sometime.

The moment a fixed difficulty is set on PoW OR PoS is the day I simultaneously quit MagiCoin mining and start shit-talking it to everyone who'd listen. That is by-far the worst thing that could happen to this coin, and trust me- This coin has seen a lot of ups and downs... Mainly downs.

I said the lower limit which is like 0.2 magi currently should be adjusted to 10 XMG, maximum limit is currently 40 I think, no matter how less the difficulty becomes this never increases, in the same way, no matter how much the difficulty increases, minimum no. of XMG should be limited to 10 xmg. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- magi rigs for rent with very low one time payments. hashes upto 150khps and duration upto 1 year. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3907169.0

If the minimum reward was fixed at 10XMG, I bet we'd top 1 GH in under 3 months.
