Librexcoin (LXC) appears to be a direct contender for Fibre. Besides also being multi-algo (X11), PoW-PoS, no-premine and no-IPO, it should soon enable anonymous payments via ZeroCoin. What gives them an edge I think is that they have Android & iOS mobile wallets with
- PoS staking function
- bluetooth/NFC offline transfers (LIBREXSEND)
Being able to stake coins on a mobile device is a power feature that shouts "large scale adoption" imho, although security is a worrying issue (physical loss, OS vulnerabilities, always-on device, ...). This sounds like p2p
M-Pesa, without the fees and with interest gains. That's the bank account the world at large is waiting for...
I hope our great Fibre dev team can withstand the pressure and work in decent conditions until the market picks up again. Developping a new (and better) anonymity protocol is going to be a differentiating power feature for Fibre. And if we can keep climbing the roadmap, the future looks bright.
Can technologically challenged noobs with little free time like me help the Team, appart from throwing everything we can save into Fibre and sending them good vibes?
Cheers and thanks for the great work
