>>UPDATE<<

FibreOS

We will be releasing the public beta version of FibreOS on Saturday the 13th of September, for everyone to test. I do not see FibreOS as ready for mainstream release as it still contains some bugs. This will be a great chance for us to pick up any other bugs and also for the community to test drive it.

FibreOS is a secure and anonymous operating system powered by the industry leader Tails. Anyone with a PC or laptop will be able to use FibreOS. Because the OS and Wallet data files are stored on a USB, You effectively have true cold storage, your coins will follow you wherever you go. All traffic is routed via TOR giving the user increased anonymity. When you unplug your USB stick no trace is left on the host PC.

Someone asked the question “If the Fibre network doesn’t support Tor, people will be connecting to other nodes via the normal Internet” . That is a great question and really hit home for us. We instantly switched focus to implementing full Tor support on the Fibre network. Bobby6Killers really came through this time, please find the solution below.

Public Beta testing launch:13/09/2014 5PM BST

Tor Hybrid Network

To give our users the choice of being able to hide their identity while connected to the Fibre network, we have the FibreTor wallet. The wallet will automatically connect to the Tor proxy nodes, and all connectivity to the Fibre network will be hidden inside the Tor network. The FibreTor wallet has hard coded .onion addresses that point to TOR Proxy Nodes which have been provisioned to support the Tor Hybrid network. At this point in the Fibre development cycle we will be supporting a mixed environment of both Tor enabled wallets and standard connected wallets on the Fibre network. The accompanying diagram explains how this is achieved.

Oh I will Smiley I wont sell them just like now Smiley

There is too little of Fibre coins to just sell them like that... 0.0052BTC is not worth it.

Hi everyone

It's been another good day for Fibre, the community have been so supportive, it makes us strive in doing our best for Fibre Smiley

I can confirm that all fibre giveaway coins have been sent to everyone that had passed the criteria and completed the details correctly, we have had individuals that have provided us with a btc address instead of a Fibre address.

If anyone that has applied and not received there coins, please pm myself or Mxxxxxx or join us at http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#Fibre .

Any coins unclaimed by the end of the month will be donated towards the funding of block cypher.

This is just the start Smiley

I can see it easily going to 2-300k. Could be more too, just look at bitcoindark for example. They double the coins fibre has and they are at .01 each. In theory if fibre had the same support  it would be around .02 each.

Is FibreOS going to be the same as CannaDrive? CannaCoin just popped that out no problem within a few days. Will FibreOS will be like 100x better or just the same thing as what they did?

CannaDrive: 16 GB, USB Flash Drives - Ubuntu Linux 14.04 with Cannacoin-QT and Cannacoind, A Secure Hot Wallet Solution for Merchants/Consumers

Oh wait. TOR is coming first b4 fibreos.

Canna, Cann, Hemp, all those coins trying to capitalize off of drug use are just dumb. Just plain dumb.

And I am not against the use of that product, but I think most of these decisions are being made whilst on the product. Seems like a great idea within that sphere of influence and certainly a lot of creativity, I cannot deny but is not something you want to associate or center your coin around unless that is your niche market, IMO.

I was just wondering if FibreOS was going to be a lot better than that.

Since no on has seen it yet I guess the devs would have to mention whats going on with FIbreOS.
