Bytecoin has a huge premine and benefits the developer a lot. Monero is fairer. However, the Bytecoin has much bigger market capitalization than Monero.

market cap means nothing when you have 80% of the entire supply to keep the price from plummeting.

If I have 1 trillion coins that are worth $0.0001

That is a higher market cap than a coin that has

100,000,000 coins that are worth $0.10 each.

More coins makes the market cap higher plus having a 80% premine doesnt make it lower either.

So...

1) create an altcoin

2) make the supply a trillion billion

3) sell one of them to your friend for 100 satoshi

4) have a market cap bigger than USD

5) ??

6) Profit!

I think Monero (XMR) is very interesting.

This thread deserves a bump.

The fact that this blatant abuse is allowed on Monero fawning threads but similar or far less abuse is tolerated on non or anti Monero threads speaks volumes about the bias on this forum.

And having a huge premine, you can suspect a lot of those volume (which BTW is lower than Monero's one) can be fake and the market cap can be easily manipulated.

I wonder if the 82% Bytecoin ninjamine was an in-joke referencing Unit 8200: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_8200

Nice bump.  Yes I think it reflects well on the original poster that the one exception to his claims, Monero, has done so well while the others are in various states of failure.

What sort of day will it be when monero blows past dash in market cap?  A good day I'd say, and possibly sooner than I'd thought.

I guess posts like this are the reason for the 'various states of failure' of the others.

Yeah this part of his turned out to be pretty spot-on:

Nobody working behind these cryptocurrencies is known in the cryptocurrency community, and that alone should be a big fucking red flag. Monero is streets ahead, partly because of the way they're developing the currency, but mostly because the "core devs" or whatever they're called are made up of reasonably well-known people. That there are a bunch of them (6 or 7?) plus a bunch of other people contributing code means that they're sanity checking each other.

lol - he's received 1.2 BTC in donations for this, that's not bad: http://blockr.io/address/info/1rysLufu4qdVBRDyrf8ZjXy1nM19smTWd

He should've accepted XMR donations instead;)
