I'd like to thank Rynomster, Techovert and the Shadow Team for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. Shadow is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying:
"Shadow is digital cash."
Sure. You are a chameleon. The worst kind. And a sick individual. That’s way you followed LongandShort call, when he was shitting on xst forum. Sooner or later you will turn against shadow also, as you did with xst and drk. It is just a matter of time until you “fall in love” with another coin. You will be another big dumper.

Not "someone", but the big talkers, the loud mouths on this forum. Since the zk announcement, pookie and longandshort disappeared along with another few aggressive ones. They are steadily dumping. They appeared only when they thought there will be big gains for them trashing everything in their path and hurting shadow in the process. Zk implementation didn't rise the price for one reason or another so they are dumping. But that's good. This gives the chance to other traders to buy SDC and leads to fair distribution. Once these loud mouths - big holders are gone, only then Shadow will prosper. Shadow needs traders and newcomers. My respects to all the other members/traders.

Somebody could just need USD to pay taxes, or Christmas bills. The market is not big enough to get any information like that. But that magic 20K floor is holding firm. We're just going to have to wait until there is some commerce being done with the coin to see where it will go. Speculative trading is meaningless.

Cryptsy wallet had been having some issues last few days. So I contacted mullick from Cryptsy, he said the following: Ya after the last update from the devs where they said they fixed the locking issue i stopped my script that would restart it every 10 minutes. Im guessing bittrex is doing the same. I started the script again. The locking issue hasnt been fixed yet
I guess the locking, or freezing issue is still a problem. It seems to occur after the wallet has been opened for a while. So seems like this is a temporary fix. Just thought this is good to know for anyone trying to deposit or withdraw there. I still recommend Bittrex for now. From experience they have had the least amount of issues/downtime with their wallet. Edit: I should specify that the devs did fix some of the locking issues, and the update is now available on github, but there are still some other locking issues left that they are tackling, from what I understand.

I don't think anybody knows for sure. But I heard rynomster said recently he was supposed to speak with Isidor the other day for some questions and stuff. So it seems progress is being made.

Question:
Don't want to test this or search for it so just asking it:
I've updated wallet.dat after I made x(amount) of regular addresses, stealth,... but what with the tokens?? The tokens don't need an extra update of the wallet because they're linked with the stealth address or am I wrong ??

There was a rise in SDC's marketcap from the Shadowsend release and there was also a major dump that stopped it.. If you didn't know there was something like 300,000 SDC stolen from the IRC tipbot back in December and those coincide with the dumping from 40k down to sub 20k right after the tipbot went missing in action.

Yes, I believe this is how it works. dasource confirmed this in an earlier post of his. Just for sake of clarity OK, so every time I convert Shadow to SDC I create a new SDC address.
Yes every-time you send coins (shadow or SDC) to a stealth address it will generate a new SDC Address Is this a new private key?
Every SDC Address has a new private key, however because this SDC Address was generated by sending coins to a "stealth address" aslong as you have a backup of your wallet when you created the stealth address you do not need to back it up again. All future SDC addresses created by sending money to that "stealth address" are covered. This is a bit like a HD wallet but not quite ... Obviously you can never be too careful so backup as necessary.
It seems like over time I will have hundreds of keys and stealth/public addresses in the wallet.
Yes but as per above, if the funds where sent to a "stealth address" then it does not matter as you can re-create those SDC Addresses and corresponding private keys from your stealth address backup.

Stolen??? As I recall the incident there was a drive formatted by someone working with the devs and the coins were lost, they didn't suspect any theft. What was the address of the tipbot? Are the coins still there on the blockchain?

Stolen??? As I recall the incident there was a drive formatted by someone working with the devs and the coins were lost, they didn't suspect any theft. What was the address of the tipbot? Are the coins still there on the blockchain? There has been suspicion of theft, and some talk about it on IRC. I tend to also believe the theft theory is highly probable. The reason being, it seems highly unlikely someone wouldn't make a backup of the wallet, especially during an update, and having custody of other people's money. More evidence is that right around the time I noticed huge dumps on bittrex. I suspected it was one person with 100s of thousands of coins dumping. Anytime a decent size buy order was placed the whale would fill it. The selling behavior was indicative of one person in my opinion. Further evidence was seen from beta.bittrex where you can see the accounts of the largest holders on the site. Some people posted screen shots in this thread and there was one account with over 200,000 SDC if I remember correctly, and it subsequently got dumped over the following several days. I believe this is why the price crashed down from 40K satoshi to 20K and lower right after the Shadowsend release. I guess its good that the thief dumped the coins already and is no longer a threat to the market. Perhaps some investigation into the blockchain could provide further insight into the truth of what happened.

someone with the power needs to reach out to the DarkNetMarkets. More & more DNM accept darkcoin...why not Shadowcash? Why even have DNM when you can use shadowchat + pgp. Im tellin you, this would be huge even worth a try. Im sure DNM admins would love to hear about ShadowCash.
