I'm pleased as can be with the 20K return point that's been holding for months. For a coin that does not yet have commercial value, that's what's really unprecedented. It doesn't really provide enough market cap, but it shows the market this is not a coin that is going to be dumped down to 1K in a week.

I been messing around with Shadow>Shadow tx's… increasing number of outputs by using a more complex number as input, in this case x.xxxxxxxx

By increasing my number by one char (so 99.99999999 Shadow>Shadow) I was able to get a 30 output tx using Ring Size 16 (tx fee 0.04)

I then did another Shadow>Shadow 99.99999999 with Ring Size 64 (tx fee 0.22)

I found it interesting the the number of outputs were different for the same amount.
But I was even more struck by how the tx using 64 has more Inputs with a dramatic difference in ScriptSig length.

It looks impressive altho I dont know what it all means.
Just playing around to see what I can produce.



UPDATE 1: did another Shadow>Shadow 99.99999999 with Ring Size 16

outputs again 30, but output values and ScriptSig size different than the first tx. YAY!



UPDATE 2: did another Shadow>Shadow 99.99999999 with Ring Size 64

tx fee was different o.21 not 0.22 as before.
also number of outputs (now 27 not 29) and their amounts were different!

OBSERVATION:
So i guess sending the same amount of Shadow with same Ring Size produces different results every time.
Which is awesome.

Could you make a table showing each transaction, each ring size and transaction size (kb). I'm curious the bloat each does.

Yup. Me too....it may well be a pre regulation precedent creation effort. Terrible for btc if that becomes acceptable. Good for SDC except we need a SDC > fiat vice versa exchange to uncouple.

Someone unrelated to the dev team said they will be building a localshadowcoin.com type platform that would act means of exchange for SDC - FIAT and vice versa. That'll be pretty damn awesome.

Whilst it is a little disappointing to read Peter Todd tweet what he did (after all he knows of us and has been in thread) it is perhaps not altogether surprising since the Monero is an older coin with a larger community than ours at the moment and has some powerful whales in their midst. Also the power of Shadow is STILL being overlooked: CN on a BTC fork is "special" in a way Monero simply is not (imo).

Seriously? Is that globally for cryptocoins? That's interesting.

Each coin has a limit, but 40k is the shadow's one ^^

We've tested some times this without ever breaking it

Nope. I think we will have a better idea of the timeline for the first version in early April

Yup, I was quite surprised when SebSebastian mentioned this in IRC couple days ago.
I guess it somehow slipped under the radar but having a self-updating bootstrap is pretty sweet.
