Hi everyone! Can someone confirm how much is the PoS intrest, I think is not updatated in the OP. Thanks!

- POS interest: 35%, 25%, 10% and 1% changing annually.

now: 25%
After Update: 10%

Quote from: Mark81
after update pos is 1 bits per one block. Two blocks in minute. Not 10% pos. Reward is same for everyone and your balance dont affect to it.
-

For all those who are accompanying this project, and waiting for updates, this image perfectly represents the situation:

Here are some updates from dev on our slack channel:

bitstardev [11:37]
morning all, good news the data from the scan yesterday was imported into the wallet and created a first block with all of the transactions going to right place, this effectively turned a approx 3 gig block chain into a 54kb block chain and means we will have the new chain with old privkeys as we wanted

quadraq [11:40]
Whoohoo!

mark81 [11:52]
That is huge, HUGE news! Congratulations to dev team!

quadraq [11:52]
Now we just need to get the freaking exchanges to cooperate.

bitstardev [12:18]
well we do want to test a bit more, im away for just over a week now (will be checking messages and emails periodically) so will test more today and when i get back then we can give them all a block number to swap from, so the wallet will be ready for the end of the month, then we best give exchanges 2 weeks notice so we can make sure it goes without a hitch

[12:18]
nobody can use or even have the new wallet until the first block date

[12:18]
otherwise the wallet amounts will be out of sync

What a bunch of barely legible gibberish.

Quit your whining. Bitstar has been a winner for a long time, you had your opportunity to accumulate.

The good news is there is still time to buy large chunks of a relatively low coin coin project on the verge of new wallet release.

Or buy them from me in a couple months :-)     seriously.

Hi! There is not any problem with wallet. There are few things you can try. Firstly add to %appdata%\bitstar\bitstar.conf file following lines:

addnode=164.132.19.178:62123
addnode=217.182.170.173:62123
addnode=109.169.71.17:62123
addnode=86.61.6.123:62123
addnode=223.134.230.204:62123
addnode=79.137.126.63:62123
addnode=172.116.88.221:6212

These are nodes that are  connected to cryptopia exchange bitstar wallet.

Secondly if your syncing takes long time you may consider using fast start pack from last april provided by bitstardev.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/b844l1i7541wgb5/Bitstar_win_faststart_0417.zip

remove everything else but wallet.dat and bitstar.conf from %appdata%\bitstar\. You should take backup copies both of wallet.dat and bitstar.conf.

after that unpack faststart pack into %appdata%\bitstar\

after that restart wallet.

I hope these steps helps you.

Firstly i dont have bitstar.conf file in bitstar folder. I create a new text and paste the addnodes in text editor than renamed the file. But it didnt solve my problem. Is it normal not to have conf file ? I havent tried second option. First i want to know if there is something else with my file.

Yes the Bitstar.conf file isn't created by default, so you have to create it yourself. The easiest way to do that (on Windows) is to open NotePad and paste in the addnode lines above, then when you save it put quotation marks around the filename like so: "bitstar.conf" That will force the exact filename in quotes to be used, so you won't end up with the ".txt" extension at the end.

It's a combination of how many you have and how long you've had them (under the current system that is - the new wallet takes a different approach) so there's not really a numerical minimum, per say. The combination of how many coins you have and how long since they were last used to stake creates your network "weight" which is then compared with the weight of others on the network, and basically you end up queuing up for your chance to stake and get a reward. Also keep in mind when you stake, a portion of your coins are used for the purpose each time, not all of them at once.

I have new database already. Just last 9 days are missing. It stoped and never download again. The database is you sent is old. It is appril date. But anyway i removed everything and wait now to download it again. If it stops downloading at the same date there should be something wrong.

I would use "repairwallet" (no quotes) in the debug screen to have it re-scan the blockchain now that it's up-to-date.
