i've got few connection but the wallet stuck while downloading the blockchain
OP has a fast start pack from about a month ago, will try and get a updated one this afternoon |

Regarding the block explorer, our new block chain is not compatible with abe explorer we were using, so we are working on a fork of iquidus explorer
I don't know anything about those softwares, but isn't Insight compatible ? It seems older and fully functional (used by feathercoin and probably others). |

I don't know anything about those softwares, but isn't Insight compatible ? It seems older and fully functional (used by feathercoin and probably others). Fethercoin isn't a POS coin (last I checked) so probably isn't compatible. Do you have a link to the source? Regarding our 3rd party explorer, they said they will have it resynced asap. Regarding an official explorer, we're hoping to have one up and running this weekend, trying to get one set up with a live richlist etc. |

Fethercoin isn't a POS coin (last I checked) so probably isn't compatible. Do you have a link to the source? Didn't know the explorers were working differently wether coins were POW or POS... I would sell mine, but I can't get my wallet to sync. I have been waiting patiently for the better part of three months for my wallet to sync but it won't sync. I've had to restart the process several times and I'm not going to start it again. Now my wallet won't even open. This coin may be a complete loss for me. I'm glad someone likes this coin though.

Have you tried the fast start pack in the OP and that has been mentioned multiple times? Also try syncing wallet with empty wallet. Rename original wallet.dat to something else and start wallet. It syncs faster with empty wallet. After sync close wallet. Delete wallet.dat and rename original back to wallet.dat. Also make backups! Dev: Maybe we should make to bitstar homepage section for issues with wallet syncing so we can point these answers there. |

Thanks Mark81, yes we're in the process of updating a lot of our systems, we're adding 8 more 100mbit servers to the block chain, a new command and control system for monitoring these servers, a daily fast start pack and bootstrap pack, new installers that offer to download the block chain as part of the install process and finally updating the website and OP with FAQ.

Behind the scene's is lot happening. Everyone, this coins dev team is great and maybe things aren't happening as fast as we want but better have things done nice and easy than have nothing to done. Good work team! Things are build up from ground and not top to fragile systems. |

Very odd, I have about 30 wallets and all download fine including Bitstar. I've also installed bitstar on 4 more servers over night using the new fast start pack and all are already up to date and feeding into the block chain. |

I just finished the reorganisation of our seed/block chain nodes, added 4 new servers at locations around the world then made sure the 4 fastest are set up as the seed nodes as a couple of the old ones were getting a bit slow.
So we now have 8 server nodes feeding into the block chain, will add at least 2 more this weekend, hopefully this should help with the speed of syncing.

That is a good news! Would you wanna share any near term developments for bits to come and maybe something for long term? Near term the main thing is to get the block chain as stable as possible, so we're upgrading and adding new nodes and running tests with different databases for the wallet, we're also moving it away from the qt compiler. Other than that we are working on quite a few things in he background, but they're not ready quite yet as we've moved focus back to getting the block chain as strong as possible in readiness for them. |

This is really rare, but I believe I had it happen to me once and it was this: the default port for a coin (not Bitstar) was already being used by some other software installed on my PC and it wouldn't sync for the life of me! When I changed the port for that coin in the config file, it finally worked (and during this all my other coins worked, so it was really weird!). Could it be something like that going on? Also have you tried a different PC? I have my Bitstar wallet installed on three different PC's and they all work fine. |

Problems with my wallet started again. I didn't open it for more than a month. Version is latest for windows. 10 seconds after starting, I get  I click OK and get  This is exactly the same thing that is happening to me. My wallet has never worked since the new version came out. I would like to get my 25% staking at some point. |

I would like to get my 25% staking at some point. That error means the coin is already running in the background or another process is using the port that bitstar needs, to fix this there are a few things to try. - Check the task manager to make sure bitstar isn't still running in the background
- Reboot your pc
- change the config so it uses a different port (port=differentporthere eg port=13253)
