Just saying why is this big whale continuing to bluff with big walls like this?
It's not a bluff, it's a bid. Feel free to dump into it. If you want to exit Monero with little slippage, now is the time. It's a very nice liquidity offer. Why criticize such a nice offer? Actually this is quite relevant as well since it was put originally quite close to the spot (I've followed this). On the other hand, the wall guy or girl is playing games with us. He first sets walls and the bids are increased to around 7 000 btc, then suddenly pulls off 1000 btc from buy orders. I am not quite sure what he is trying to do... But to me it doesn't matter. I think Monero is still severely undervalued.

Not sure whats going on.

I think whoever it is is trying to make a big buy-in without massive upward slippage. So they put the wall there periodically enticing someone to move coins to the exchange and dump, and remove it to avoid pushing the price up. It's probably a large Bitcoin whale who wants to reallocate/hedge in a big way onto a different chain/project. Someone on the level of Roger Ver, or possibly literally him (but probably not).

But I guess new interest may not all be because of supporting the network / technology, which would imply a greater number. Maybe the reddit statistics would give a better picture.

I've noticed a pattern in Pump and Dump trend of XMR for 2 days. Apart from regular short/long trading, prices start going down at about 3:00-3:30 and trend continues till 11:00-13:00 when it reaches minimum ~0.0126-ish and starts rising again.. Rise takes a while as lot of cheap coins are in circulation for quite some time but by 19:00-21:00 it reaches 0.014-ish. (all time ref. - IST[GMT+5.5]) My speculations may not apply correctly for future trades. This is based on my 2 days of trading experience. If my speculations are correct price should drop to 0.014 or below within 8(+/-1) hours from now. This is not a trading advice please study the market carefully before investing. Also posted on steemit: https://steemit.com/monero/@iamrohitkgupta/monero-price-speculation-please-verify-before-following-my-advice

But the volume is huge. If you wanted to buy 7,000 BTC worth of Monero, why not just have a bot do it? If you do it correctly you won't get crazy slippage and you can start the next move up. That said, I do hope you are right.

That said, I do hope you are right. From one of my favorites, And right here let me say one thing: After spending many years in Wall Street and after making and losing millions of dollars I want to tell you this: It never was my thinking that made the big money for me. It always was my sitting. Got that? My sitting tight! It is no trick at all to be right on the market. You always find lots of early bulls in bull markets and early bears in bear markets. I've known many men who were right at exactly the right time, and began buying or selling stocks when prices were at the very level, which should show the greatest profit. And their experience invariably matched mine -- that is, they made no real money out of it. Men who can both be right and sit tight are uncommon. I found it one of the hardest things to learn. But it is only after a stock operator has firmly grasped this that he can make big money. ...But to me it doesn't matter. I think Monero is still severely undervalued.

I turned 1000 into 800 should I roll 200 out at 15 for a bit of 13 later? or stop ruining everything ? What do you think Monero's current value should be? Act on that. IMO, there's no reason we shouldn't be at ETH's or Dash's level(~.02 ). So I'm not making any decisions until we can secure and hold that price. And I'm not likely making any moves at that point anyway - the potential upside is too great.

In my mind I think of bitcoin as much safer but I don't think she does.
