In late 2014/early 2015 the bids were less than 100 btc (aroun 80 btc if I remember correctly). Those were the days of all time lows. Good old days I guess.

Yes, i could, but please read this Thread for yourself. I predicted at the beginning of the last pump, that it smells like a pump and it was a pump.
Same here now, just the price of XMR x5 from the last pump, and it gains much faster which isn't healthy.
Lets talk next week on the price topic of XMR

Just when I thought it would stop the party keeps going. Who is responsible for this now? I am sure the whales are already in at low prices. But this movement is in the millions of $! This has to be a coordinated effort by whales and the serious investors. If it really is there then is nothing stopping it to reach $20 per XMR.

While I don't like what BTC is or is becoming these days, I don't buy into the theory it is "dead".  So, what happens to XMR when/if BTC decides to increase in price?

Will the XMR/BTC market readjust or will a 'rising tide raise all boats'?

Or will XMR bring new money into BTC, even?

when the media writes about a hot new cc called MONERO, more private than BTC, people will invest in it simply because they know what happened to BTC. especially the ones who missed the BTC ride will bring new € into XMR in hopes that they'll make huge profit as long as there is media coverage. A scandal involving XMR or something at this point might draw attention. XMR is already in snowball mode.

Sat there and watched the orders coming through on Poloniex last night. It was just too heavy, too consistent.
Reminding me of Bitcoin in 2013.

Now, there can indeed be some big pumpers coming in but they are hiding their actions well as the orders are all different sizes and mostly less than 500, 1000 in size.
My impression, especially in light of Roger Ver's words, is that other whales are moving in and this is NOT a pump. This is a movement of some wealth.
And LOT's of smaller investors are following suit.

We are going into uncharted waters regarding the BTC/Crypto ratio.
Basically, we are seeing the next BIG Crypto rise - we don't know where it will end, enjoy the show...

i was hoping something less political, more economic. now that alpha started using xmr, it's only a matter of time until we get similar news like btc got back in the days (mostly negative by the main stream media).

Sorry, but I have neither the time nor inclination to dredge up your old posts - but IRRC between .005 and .009 you wailed about manipulation and pumps and dumps and whales.  We had a brief correction and carried on.  Then you were at it again between .01 and .019 --- it was all going to come crashing down.  And yet, here we are.

I agree that prices should rise slowly and organically (but then we've been doing slow for two years now) and of course there will be corrections.  But does it ever occur to you that XMR isn't a pumpNdump coin and is actually a worthwhile investment.
