Despite the price has risen the markets seem to like Dark coins twice as much as Moneros (Monero's marketcap 250 million usd vs. the market cap of Darkcoin 550 million usd)...  Huh  Undecided

Back in 2015 I'm looking at Darkcoin/Dash too.
But because of the "instamined coin" issue, I chose Monero.

Thanks again to this warning, I made a profitable decision!  Cool

Before I invested in xmr, I've been thinking about intentional cripple miner released to the public by monero devs.
But made a decission and invested in both, Dash and monero, before they reached $1. That decission was more profitable  Wink

I was wondering when you were going to make an appearance.  Wink

Looks like everyone's on board now. Where are we headed?

In my books, Dark coin is not considered as a scam coin/"shitcoin" anymore the reason being the simple fact that they have been able to pump is higher than the initial pump.
As a speculator, I do not care too much about having the shiniest tech but the fact that the price goes higher than during the previous pumps. Shitcoins cannot do it.

As a speculator I don't care about many things but I care about the truth nonetheless. Only people who call it scam are childish speculator who missed great opportunetes or are gulibble enough to believe in every lies and spins coming from deceitfull trolls like iCEBREAKER and even xmr dev fluffypony.
FUD due to fastmining at the beggining? Fastmining is not a scam, it's fastmining.

Sorry about that little OT here. I think I should say something about the xmr price. Monero need to touch at least 169 to be bullish again, imho, but good that it went through 144.
I would like to see it at 110-120 again or even at 60 Wink

Thanks for the responses. Very useful in my quest to determine which anoni-coin to support.

But, too bad you can't rein in the relentless trollers in the Dash thread. They are delusional to think their tactics will convert anyone on the fence (in a Dash thread, lol), and in fact, initially turned me against Monero.

I really don't know if Monero can succeed against the advantages that Dash is using so well, the marketing and user friendliness. Because a coin without a user base, a robust network, seems rather pointless. Nevertheless, it's a good fight, very entertaining. But it's not enough to have more ability. You still have to win in the ring.

People that post in DASH threads showing to those that read those threads how DASH was planed form beginning. They have nothing to do with Monero. DASH instaminers just defend themselves every time someone shows a flaw in their coin, that those people are somehow Monero marketing. Monero marketing that dont exist. Even you noticed it and you are not 3 years here.

People who are most eager against DASH instamine that was perfect for a PoS coin are just random crypto enthusiasts. Most have good understanding of crypto and most are here 5 years + and got some cheap Bitcoins.  Generally they could be easier called that are part of Bitcoin marketing.

As you mention that marketing is bad word in threads that talks of Monero. It is not, just we look at Marketing as educating. At least I do, I am sure others do different. Monero is open for all and everyone can interpret it and do with it as they want. I am sure there will be lots of educational videos pictures and posts, what Monero is and why it is one of if not best money in existence so far, be written in near future. And those is best Marketing there can be.

Do you guys ever have delayed sends from the Monero Windows GUI wallet?  I sent 4 transactions in 20 minute period (2 large and 2 small) and the 2 small ones were sent quickly and the other 2 disappeared for 2 hrs and then were shown in my transaction history with a time 2 hrs past the other small ones.

The 2 smaller ones were probably included in a block earlier, hence the perceived delay. This, for instance, could've been caused by those transactions having a more attractive fee per kB ratio. Alternatively, it could've been simply random.

If you enter your transaction hashes into https://xmrchain.net/ you can see in which block they were included.

If Monero takes out the Jan 5 swing high of .0169 I expect a new ATH. Monero is just late to the alt party going on.

I've seen you post a few times using fib; I have to say I don't think you use it correctly ie your start (0%) line is usually kind of, well, arbitrary. You need to encompass both extremes of the chart you are analysing.  Use the fib tool on Polo it provides a good example of how it should be used. Smiley

Well, by passing $18.40 (and breaking $19) we have now achieved the ATH price when measured against the USD.

I would suggest this metric is actually far more reliable than the BTC market since last Sept (the last generally regarded ATH) BTCs price was about 50% less against the USD than it is today.  Compared to BTC the USD has been relatively stable over the same period.

If BTC's price was the same today as back then, we'd be around 0.05BTC.

So....whoo hoo Smiley
