Coinbase will likely add Monero in the coming months.
Now might be a good time to buy. Everyone is paying attention to other coins like the Pascal coin pump going on right now.
Grab some Monero while no one is looking!

Shhhhhhhh (;-)

I like how Monero is holding a non-speculative volume of about $2M constantly.

Yeah... Shhhhh!  I haven't fully loaded up the truck yet LOL

Srsly do y'all suppose the recent soft-ish price on XMR has been due to coinbase needing to stock-up on some cheap monero? How much "inventory" do you suppose an exchange like GDAX would need to have on hand opening day, OR do they just facilitate customers buying and selling to each other and maybe they don't actually HODL much themselves?

I asked this same question a while back and nobody really seemed to have any idea.  I will say that there has been a lot of price suppression over the past few weeks with dumps and then large sell walls to push buy orders lower.  So, it appears to me at least that somebody is trying to acquire at lower and lower prices.

Do you only hold XMR or do you also recommend holding some BTC (or perhaps even Ether)? Interested to hear some opinions.

Thanks!

Other than some other speculative investments I'm holding XMR, BTC and ETH - ratio is around 40/40/20 - I think XMR will be 2 or 3 on CMC by the end of the year (nothing is guaranteed though)

I hold 100% XMR (I'm trying to regain what I had before the 20x increase, which I was without capital at the time do to RL issues::sometimes life give you decayed lemons) and keep buying but if I was serious I would trade back and forth when BTC oscillates. That takes timing and time and patience which I do not have and when I see obvious accumulation and price suppression going on I margin long (never short thats a death sentence). I did get boned when Polo's liquidation price was way off and I took off for a weekend knowing the price would never get near that number but thats another thing altogether. Funny thing now is there "Liquidation Price" now states N/A (is it just for me?)

Right after posting that JPG I did a little margin. I never lie about my opinions or actions in this thread and will never talk my book for gain, unlike many others that you can easily identify by examination.

I was there at the Bitcoin Center in NYC more than two years ago when Buterin came in person to pitch eth to early investors.  Didn't get in.

Oh, well.

That was a early or never deal, unfortunately the most experienced saw through the scam but only the 24/7 traders saw the initial potential and made the sacks full of cash and got out before the DAO fail.

It is funny to see Litecoin main developer that he holds only once bigger value of  LTC then Monero.
I would love to own some other coins, they say diversification is a wise thing to do,  but whenever Monero price start growing i just dump all my available BTC in it.  So then is really hard to find any available for other coins Sad

"All countries are advised to consider the creation of the crime of unexplained wealth."

whoa!

"All countries are advised to take action against Digital Currencies Mixers/Tumblers. Such services are designed exclusively to anonymize transactions and to make it impossible for Law Enforcement Agencies to detect and trace suspicious transactions. The existence of such companies should not continue to be tolerated"

Didn't see this discussed. Sounds like an explicit call to outlaw Monero.

It's talking about mixers and companies that run them.  Monero is not mentioned, so it's not an explicit threat at all.  It's about BTC being laundered through mixers and tumblers.  Monero doesn't need them.

The eyebrow raising bit is the suggestion that 'unexplained wealth' should become a crime.

We aren't far off that in some places in the world already - but I suspect this is good for Monero in the long run as Bitcoin is easily followed, Monero not so.  Which is why when I lost most of my Monero in a boating accident there was nothing much I, or anyone else in the world could do about it. Or will be able to do about it in the foreseeable future.
How do you lose digital currency in a "boating accident"??

I rue the day...

A storm came and the sea washed over the deck and I watched as my hard disk was taken over board. I was powerless to stop it, my Monero were lost in the deep.... A dark, dark day.

Its possible.  2 hours after that tweet, almost 900 BTC buys of XMR on Poloniex.  I am surprised how forthcoming he has been on XMR recently.  Probably due to a soon to be announced Coinbase reveal.

I was watching XMR for 1 month but couldn't find a good entry point. I feel price is a little overvalued, it never dropped below 0.012 BTC. Do you think I should stop waiting more and hop in from over 0.013 BTC? I used to trade XMR but price was way below back then.

Well on the other hand many of monero supporters still think it is undervalued. I guess when the price goes sideways for a week or two like recently without any volume that is a good indicator that there is some kind of equilibrium. But im no TA specialist so take my info with a little bit of salt Cheesy
