IMZ-Mark - Did you get 1 DVC from cragv?

Opps, I already sent him his 9 UNO.   Embarrassed

10 UNO sent to IMZ-Mark!

How many DVC's in my account, now, Mark?

-

Both of you two are to change the Trade-Tracker to 'Complete', once you get your UNO.  (...And cragv sends 1 DVC to Mark.)  Since I have seniority, and more trades than anyone in Un-Ex history, y'all send first and verify you got my UNO with 'Complete'.  Smiley

Hey!  You guys got UNO I was going to sell on the Out-House Exchanges market!

I think IMZ has you pipped for most completed trades on the Un-Ex actually! (Though you've certainly made more offers than anyone, by a country mile!!)

I did note in the Un-Ex already that I received your UNO, thanks Benefactor. I'm downloading the NXT ockchain now (have been for several hours) so as soon as it's done, I'll send the DVC. Might be a while yet, sorry - progress in this NXT wallet seems quite slow and it's also eating through my rapidly dwindling remaining internet quota for the month! (Thanks, Australian internet - we'll have first world 'net sometime this decade, hopefully)! It is coming, anyway. Thank you for waiting, I didn't think it'd take so long to catch up from 6 weeks of not being updated. It's currently at 11/01/2015 05:55:11 and counting. Bleh!

You dont have unlimited broadband, christ where you live North Korea??

Deep breath, Coinmaster!

Australia is a first-world nation, but of immense physical proportions. Our recent downloading of the full Bitcoin wallet -- we call it the 'behemoth' -- took over 48 hours and the skill of our tech-support officer. The eventual global uccess of cryptos will rely in some part on the understanding that the majority of our fellow humans simply don't have unlimited broadband.

(Lookin' out my living-room window, it's 80 kms to the next dwelling. This is a big big big big country!!)

Bene 0024 Complete (so, B. I have your 10 Uno, and you have 1 DVC)

Bene 0023 -- still waiting for the 9 Uno to turn up. All well.

@ cragv: nice explanations of Un-Ex and DVC! You clearly get it -- yeh, really clear explanations.

Yes, Coinmaster. The steps are:

# become a Trusted Trader
# get yourself some silver -- 4 or 6 ounces (which you have done)
# download the b****y Nxt wallet (which is actually brilliant, but has proven hard to set up -- ask for help if you need it)
# 'Verify' that you hold the bullion

# be issued precious DVC

But may I note that these are merely the processes? Being a TT and a DVC holder is about being a committed member of the Unobtanium 'core community.' What's going on here is a grand experiment in trust-building. Nothing like it exists in the crypto realm.

We pour energy into this undertaking.

Welcome.

I have the 9 UNO already. Am Downloading Blockchain in NXT wallet. As soon as this is done, I'll send the DVC. (I had to update again to version 1.4.8, and have been downloading again. Am up to 17/01/2015 17:45:59 and counting. Driving me nuts).

@ cragv: nice explanations of Un-Ex and DVC! You clearly get it -- yeh, really clear explanations.

Thanks. You wrote most of it! (I've compiled the answer from your various explanations over time - have you seen the About tab on the Trade Tracker yet? Bit of a read but have a skim over it.)

Except the Un-Ex community is not increasingly sinister as you move up the (non-existent) hierarchy, there are no oaths or hidden arrangements and this is not a secret organisation. Everything is done transparently and is publicly trust-based. Other than that, you're spot on.

(Can I say that here? Looks like I just did :p)

NXT Wallet downloaded 1.4.13
Glad you said that. Even after auto-updating, the blockchain download was c..r..a..w..l..i..n..g........ and I got fed up and went to http://nxt.org/ to check versions. Well, while my client (2.0.1, 1.4.Cool had successfully updated, I found 2.2.0 was available to download. So, I'm now looking at 2.2.0, 1.4.8 and watching the blockchain download. I guess we'll see what happens in the next little while. Your DVC is coming, Benefactor! Thanks for waiting.

Okay, now we'll go back go Step One:

here is the trade-tracker: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14hftnJ_crV9flLcUKaPqwEfTLKJme3R8jVeUJtudQSw/edit#gid=607186588

Post here something like: Coinmaster Trade 001: I will buy 10 Uno for ? Btc.

Then put those same details on the trade-tracker. (If accepted, you send first.)

If the trade goes well, you become a Trusted Trader: http://indiamikezulu.com.au/454/list-of-trusted-traders

Hey, cragv. I have had much less trouble with the Nxt wallet of late. Now on 1.4.13.

Perhaps a bottom line is that Nxt geeks use it frequently, so the updates are less harrowing.

Blowed if I know why this thing doesn't update properly. At least the blockchain seems to be downloading properly now. I actually don't keep the client open because it slows my computer down (quad-core i7 3.4GHz, multi-SSD, 16GB RAM), if that even makes sense. You're seeing the exasperation-removed edit of my last post, too.

Post here something like: Coinmaster Trade 001: I will buy 10 Uno for ? Btc.

Then put those same details on the trade-tracker. (If accepted, you send first.)

I'll also add here that I've decoupled the Trade Tracker from this thread about a month ago (notice there is no link to the post anymore). It seemed redundant to have to list a new trade on the thread and also in the Trade Tracker. I've been posting and accepting trades for the month since then (low volume but it's been working). Is this okay with you guys or do we still want to tie Trade Tracker trades to the Bitcointalk.org thread here?

Anyway, coinmaster222 has already listed two trades (one Expired) on the Trade Tracker today. No mucking around, he's on the ball Smiley

(@coinmaster222, make sure you don't delete your offer contents after marking a trade 'Expired'. We want the history all there. There's a filter that hides Expired trades though, so I restored the trade info and then reapplied the filter, so the Expired offer is now hidden. Great job!)

I'm using the Nxt Wallet 2.2.0, NRS Version: 1.4.8 (latest). Am downloading blockchain from when I last had it open, probably early Jan or late Dec sometime.

Hi Un-Ex.

I kept trying to write a short introduction and failing at keeping it short.

So this is just a brief hello and a question. Is it all right to do giveaways here to promote trading a coin I hold a significant portion of? Basically free money to test out trades so I can get you guys to try the coin and do exchanges between the two coins I have significant quantities of (UNO and this other coin). I haven't actually traded on the UNO blockchain before, so this would be a useful learning exercise for me just in that as well.

I have read bits of this thread and have been thinking about this exchange for a while, since IMZ linked me to it on reddit (I'm /u/coinaday (Reddit)). In fact, it was a major part of the inspiration to me finally buying silver and holding it.

I should really read through all the pages of history here, but I just haven't had the time or taken the time yet to do it. Someday(tm).

Edit: What are the latest asks and offers for DVC? I'll buy. I want to spend some UNO on something and may as well try it out. :-) IMZ's last post on page 69 has a crazy low number listed on it. I'll pay first whatever is needed to a trusted trader.

Oh, also, can I not have to hold it? Is anyone offering escrow of DVC? I don't want to deal with the Nxt client, sorry. ;-p I know it's picky but I like this exchange and would rather use the trust system here than the code there. :-)

Edit 2: So reading through the last page or so, it looks like it's been traded for 9 or 10 UNO.

COIN001: I'll offer 12 UNO for an escrowed ownership of a DVC. You take possession and hold for me 1 DVC on Nxt / this thread / the exchange as a concept after I send you 12 UNO. Open to any trusted trader.

Edit 3: IMZ, is this still open:

Trade 2015/2/8 will sell 10 Uno for 0.18 Btc

Will you do 1 UNO for 0.018 BTC? I can send first.

Edit 4: Has Un-Ex opened branches on reddit or anywhere else yet?
