Update 9/1:

Syscoin v0.1.4c has been released addressing the wallet open/close issue. This is a non-mandatory update.

This fixes an issue some may encounter when reopening the wallet regarding a chain database error. Github master has been updated as well. Always backup your wallet.dat before upgrading your wallet.

Links on OP updated to reflect new download. Website will be updated shortly.

thanks for the update,
but dev should do more things to support the price.

There is one thing many noob investors are doing wrong: whenever they see the price BELOW their entry price, they get mad that the should buy now instead of earlier. The thing is that is is almost impossible to buy exactly on the bottom. Just throw more BTC whenever the price is below your entry price and be happy that you managed to get even better deal, instead of overthinking things. Crypto is supposed to be fun, not stressful.

But you are thinking one-sided (your own side - not the coin side).

Merge mining spreads the hashing around, alleviating the probability of a 51% attack. It also gets more people aware and involved.
If you don't mind trading in weak coins, there's plenty to choose from. If you want to deal with a coin that has a better established base of people vested (it's a word and I used it right) in continued success, this one is for you.

The price is partly due to FUD, partly due to shortsighted people, and partly due to unforeseen issues that delayed the launch and affected the early ability to transfer coins among exchanges.

Find me another new coin that has the backing of good dedicated developers, backed by a company that promised resources if needed (and proved it), and has such a strong interest among many of us (not you) this long after launch. I've seen several other new coins die on the day they were born, in just the past week or so. And several coins killed by the greed of their own scamming creators.

Maybe you aren't yet qualified to do any thinking. But don't stop trying - you'll get there.

I think merge mining was a big mistake..look at the  diff and the price now...

It was always the case that Syscoin was going to be merge-minable for exactly those reasons. We had hoped to launch with it, but there were a few issues that has since been resolved.
It is all about securing the network for future usage. In my own personal opinion any coin that does not focus on this will die.

As for this week (Note : Syscoin v0.1.4c was just released ) :

So whats you guys up to next week? Can you tell us what you planing? I am not asking for any ETAs, just plans. I dont know if you saw the IRC at that time, but Whale123 made some good points in IRC...

Right now we're focusing on this pesky 0.1.4c release which it looks like we'll release tonight and also getting the growing team into a single, unified project management system. Soon as I'm done with that stuff I can post more info on what we have planned.

Specifically this week we are trying to talk to Moolah, and also trying to get together a concentrated marketing effort/microsite on the "offers" aka the Syscoin Marketplace service including hiring developers if needed to create multiple examples on top of the API which we will open source as well as use ourself to sell Syscoin swag. We plan on doing this type of concentrated marketing on each of the various features now that things are stabilizing the network hashrate continues to grow thus providing a reliable foundation for businesses.

Update to wallet 0.1.4c on Win7 Home Premium x64 was a success. I no longer need to resync the entire blockchain when starting the Syscoin wallet software.

Thanks again, devs.

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

As  I said at the very beginning when this coin launched, all issues will be fixed one by one, this coin has many fantastic features and their source code are completely new, it is hard to avoid to have some issue when it just launches, the main failure is they rush out the coin without enough testing, now the issues have been fixed one by one and the price will grow up gradually, there will be peak soon.

Any new development updates? Do you get the first 250BTC fund? If you get, plz set more buy orders. Cry The price looks so bad

If you get some funds, you can hire more PR, hope syscoin will have a huge gain like Blackcoin in April.

I don't think that devs spending coin to set buy orders would be beneficial to the price. People would likely just get stupid, panic, and then the arb'ers would go into a mad dumping frenzy driving it down further.

Let the market create its own buy orders. The devs have better things to do with 250BTC. Marketing and publicity, perhaps? A nice night out with their families and maybe a few days of leisure?

Do you get the first 250BTC fund? If you get, plz set more buy orders. Cry The price looks so bad

Also,

you see when Dan is writing late in the night. He lives on US East coast.

They are human too. They need a break sometimes.

Regarding BTC from Moolah - it should go for development, not for buy walls.

I'm still having issues with the Mac Wallet and database chain error when opening.  Was the Mac wallet recompiled with the update? Thanks!

i hope the development team got already a part of the funds and i agree please don't use it for buy walls, use the funds for development, but i think that is exactly what they are going to do.

I also agree there is a lot which can be done in terms of development and marketing which would be more valuable than putting up buy walls.
