So do I understand correctly, that we have a chance to be the first coin to have fully working marketplace with perfect GUI? Guys, this is huge!!! Devs, you should be promoting whole thing now - a Tweet about the competition to write the GUI would be nice. This might be a game changer for Sys!

Guys please lets keep on thread here (Syscoin)

Exactly.

Questions will be met with answers over the course of time in relation to coins been held up in Mintpal, for information / latest news i think it's best to follow the updates or developments from the official body of Mintpal as we (Syscoin) have no authority over that exchange, twitter page https://twitter.com/mintpalexchange.

As for Syscoin,

The Development team are currently working on a few things as mentioned in the latter posts. There will be a main 'Block Market' the official marketplace coming in the next few weeks and we will be looking for additions to this development wise (translations, graphic work) feel free to drop myself an email michael@syscoin.org if you want to become a part of this and i'll forward your response onto the correct parties involved.

We fully support the creation of a community based / user created marketplace this is exactly what we want branching of the official marketplace, cluster / umbrella marketplaces so to speak - we'll be ramping up coverage of this in due course.

Thats a great idea, get the message out there is a bounty that is growing for the 1st person to write non wallet market place software, would get coders working on it instead of just waiting, and its not targeting  the general public so the fact that no GUI an things not general public user friendly at the moment doesn't matter

please vote for SYS https://bitspark.io/coinvoting , new Hong Kong exchange , very good for Sys, coin needs more exposure to China and it looks like a slick exchange.

Great job! And market seems to react already. But "first of it's kind" is missing from the PR statement.

We'll draft a blog post later and push this to media agencies. Ive already submitted to a few this morning about it to push it along.

My contribution has been sent. TXID available by PM if you need it.

Made /r/bitcoin & /r/syscoin posts about the growing bounty:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2mkbpu/bounty_for_decentralized_marketplace_asap/

http://www.reddit.com/r/SysCoin/comments/2mivgx/325000_sys_bounty_for_the_first_desktop/

Up to 434,500 SYS!

Donation address:
Sbm3YdBr6KrEWfCFrNvqLYKHE6Wh8RqQgb

(address will be populated with SYS asap from all contributors, please send your pledge if you have not done so yet)

I see two different donation/bounty addresses. which is for the ui wallet?  SSYFzxtXHudXYU5QeW3RNL7YoyZHYUToGT  or Sbm3YdBr6KrEWfCFrNvqLYKHE6Wh8RqQgb ....

I would also like to donate and am unsure where send funds. The address ending in Qgb has no coins at it.

the correct adresses for donations now are:

17:51 @JohnDorien: sure, I can do. Sec I create two addy's in a minute

I think we need to put together another community bounty (not sure the exact amount it would take to attract developers/coders) and have a competition who can put together the best (not just 1st) non wallet market place software wins the comp and then open source the code and then the base work would be done and it would be easier for other people to use and add to.

and  syscoin also gets its name out there in the technical community, and they may have more ideas and may start adding more apps to the network, which will increase sys coins presence in all the right places

<edit> or change the rules of the current bounty from 1st out to best out by a certain date
<edit 2> and then advertise the shit out of the competition on non cryptocurrency technical/software/business forums and send invites to software businesses and see who would want to get involved
<edit 3> and its not win/lose here for the coders/developers. The winner has to contractually open source his software, where the other developers just will need to fine tune their software and could be able to sell it, because they may have better features for some businesses, and people like different software, its just a personal preference

This is epic!! 30 points on the /r/darknetmarkets post

I know of 2 teams of atleast 2 people each, outside of this thread actively working on a UI, on top of the two working on it here from this thread, I think/hope it will be done soon Smiley

Any way to get an update JohnDorien on the balance of the bounty right now? I was going to start pinging the people who pledged to make sure they sent their offerings

Read reddit thread - bounty varies now depending in the GUIs Function. So I think we can create bounty depending on the coin's price, too. For example, if the marketplace results in the price going back to the ICO levels in the two weeks after the release, we migh add something to the pot. You could earn 30% on Sys in the last 24h and this is just the beginning of new uptrend.

My sole opinion: That's a bit unprofessional. "If your product makes our coin's value increase, we will pay you X amount more". I feel it gives sys an image of desperation, which no one here is aside from the weak hands.

Not a bad idea, but I feel would do more harm than good in the fragile PR position sys has (fragile because it is new and young to the existing crypto market).
