i personally def think so , but i don't think everyone here agrees... the supernet is an ingenious way of connecting coins with unique features, and we all know neos is unique!

Incredibly sorry for the latent response I had a family situation today.  Do you have TeamViewer?  I could fix you right up I'm sure within minutes.  Just minimize/close whatever you'd prefer to keep private or not want me seeing.  I'm willing to bet this is because a custom directory was used and in v2 this will all be circumvented by a standard Windows installation path with a Windows installer.  Sorry for any inconvenience, this is only surfacing on select systems and so far, just a few.

Yes I think Syntaks intimated that what he has planned will blow supernet out of the water!

The more I look at this coin the more of a no brainer it is that it should become part of it.
The positives  outweigh any of the possible negatives. For sure the price would rocket, but it
isn't just about that. Coins like this which do bring something to the table should be part of it.

It won't be much longer(tm), until v2 is ready, I'm still finishing off the design, its just all of the little things in it that we want to look and work perfectly for you guys (and for us as well moving forward). I'm sure anyone who I've shown it to that is on the forums or on irc can attest that it is going to be pretty sweet. Its just there are so many little components that have to be created because they weren't even in the first version, and they all have to 'make sense' (I could just throw them in there and they would 'work' but I would rather do it right and good the first time around, even if it takes a bit longer and is more of a pain in the butt for me )

I mean its 5:16 am and I'm still working on the designs for the various pages, so hopefully that says something about what we think about the project.

how it is set up it is much more compartmentalized, yet everything is easier to get to (for example 1 click and you are at a point where you can send neos to anyone, from any part of the wallet), what this means is it takes a bit longer to make every small page, and as you are doing it you see 'oh crap I have to create that new page now' as you think of the best way of doing something. The great part is anything I can design, syntaks is able to code, just like anything syntaks or anyone is able to dream up I'm able to design for a slick and fast user experience.

the current v1 design 'works', but it doesn't 'work well', this new v2 I can promise will look much more professional, work much better for everyone (and if it doesn't we will get it to that point), and the best part about the whole thing is once this is done, it sets us up for the next versions and ideas we want to incorporate into everything. the stuff that syntaks has already said is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak in what is in store after v2 comes out.. all of this is just laying the initial ground work.

anyway, time to get back to more designing, syntaks should be waking up from his catnap soonish to work more on the programming. I wish I could give you a more solid eta on my part, its not quite that easy with the stuff i'm putting in, but it won't be much longer!

Any measures are planned to prevent further abuse of the 3 algo blockchain if SHA average hashrate not increase?
Current abuse of SHA chain is only hurting NEOS.
Hashrate would need to increase to 2-300TH/s to prevent current someone pointing +60TH/s as soon as it drops to 2-4 millions in difficulty,
drive it up to 27-30+ millions and leave it there.
Hopefully V2 release will solve this..

Good morning everyone,

Sorry the latent response guys I'm just sort of waking up from a decent sleep finally.  Couldn't force my eyes to stay open and brain to function that much more without 1 decent sleep anyway. =)  I'll start with responding to the ideas of gaming with Neos.  Since it was mentioned on this thread, it definitely was something I started to contemplate and research.  With that being said I on that day went and registered neosbet.com and neoscasino.com.  I've researched some gaming software that was crypto-centric and the top of the list the software is about $10k with all games included.  The issue is, these games seem cheap for the price quoted.  I don't like to do anything cheap, or do it just to do it.  I'd rather pay $20k for half the games but have them all perfect.  Another detail is I won't run games that are unfair.  I'm just another miner/trader/crypto enthusiast myself and I've been burnt in the past on "provably fair" crypto-based gaming sites.  I won't do to others what I wouldn't want done to me.  I'd run the site just for the fact it was wanted by the people, not for profit.  With that being said, if anyone knows of legitimate software that's secure, I'm more than open to the idea.

Now onto current development, what's in progress and some of what's coming:

1.  The installation process was rough around the edges to say the least.  That's been revamped and the only system left to address is Windows, and that's because we'll be using a Windows installer for that.  The other detail about Windows is we're going to try to register Neos as a service and get rid of those annoying command prompts (even if they're minimized I hate them).
2.  Trading for supported exchanges - in the process of coding the functions for the other sites we came to the conclusion that we didn't have to mimic the interfaces there for the most part, we could standardize the interface we provide to make it easier perhaps and cleaner in the wallet.  That's in the process of being reworked as well as a couple of new exchanges potentially being added into the wallet.  Right now there are 3.
3.  Better statistics and historical stats.  While the one graph for Bittrex interest is somewhat useful, more important and useful data can be shown and with the use of sqlite versus polling at interval for the data, it should make for a better and smoother experience.
4.  More market data - market cap information, conversion rates
5.  The address system before only allowed to generate new addresses, but without labels.  That's been fixed now.
6.  Locking/unlocking the wallet - folks were experiencing issues after they had locked their Neos wallet and tried to use the interface afterwards.  That's been addressed and resolved.  You can now lock/unlock your wallet and set a timeframe for the unlock to hold true.
7.  Alias system - in v2 you can register aliases for 3 NEOS per alias.  The reason for the cost?  If it was free, one determined person could register countless aliases and leave everyone else with their hands in the air.  These alias funds will be held in a public account and every month a lottery system will choose 3 winners of which the alias funds will be distributed to.
8.  The network hashrates will all be displayed properly for the pools
9.  Pool stats will be functional in v2 now
10.  The bug in the address system that didn't show all addresses has been resolved
11.  Blocks and connection status is now displayed
12.  Encrypted messaging between wallets is in v2
13.  We're working on language translations for the wallet interface
14.  Connection to IRC in the wallet via TOR is being worked on
15.  Arbitrush is being expanded and modified a bit - those details will come post-release
16.  Paper wallet generation is being worked on


Edit: The design is being reworked completely also to a "smarter" design/flow.

I think there is plenty of love here... the amount of work the devs do is reward enough. I am convinced they don't sleep...at all. More coins? Great time to buy and support NEOScoin.

Best thing is that we have awesome dev and team who work over the coin and provide unique features and discuss it with the community.A really unique feature is the arbitrush-you can read more about it in the articles about the coin.But there's a lot more to come along with this.

First i think this coin can't make it but after i read the thread and talk with the dev i think this coin may have a good future.We need to wait at least 1 month i guess
