That is the most lame comment.  scrypt.cc has been up and running since Feb 2014 well over a year.   You can chat with the Admin/owner in both English and Portuguese.   There isn't any tie between scrypt.cc and ltcgear.com.

As mentioned before, probably 90% of the users will happily go for a cut of 60% if he pays out for the other 40%

It's a fairly clever strategy, scoop up loads of your own accounts cheaply, using LitecoinTalk and their crooked moderators, offer them a cut for their trouble and come back online for a fraction of the cost...

Most of these assets based on LTCgear only took your money and invested in LTCgear themselves. So there was no point of giving them your money in the first place.
However, some of them did claim to have some collateral but I think they all depend on LTCgear.

Still allowing withdrawals etc. Apparently the electricity supplier cut the power to the datacenter. Tall tale or truth who knows.
