Yes, it's unfortunate what happened here. I didn't see this one coming few months ago. Gone are the good ol' days.

I was looking at that yesterday and found that a GHs of an S5 contract is actually ore expensive than an S7 contract?
How does that work out?
 !).

Ghs for s7 costs ten times more than Ghs for S5. You apparantly missed one digit.

That makes sense. So I forgot to count the number of 0s correctly.

Anyway Bitmain had better relase some more hardware, oterwise, Hashnest will fail before the halving!

This is getting really entertaining gamble. At 440 USD/BTC S5 suddenly becomes money making machine. At least for a while Wink

I think people are betting or a negative next diff . But with BTC price increasing  some hardware will come back online and diff will in fact be increasing .

By my  calculation (that is a diff to next diff calculation, halving and long term diff NOT included ;-) ) ROI for S7 is more than the delay to halving .

I'll stay out of S5 , too hazardous bet for me .

"Money making machine" with 80% revenue going to maintaince is not even a funny

If you have S5 - sell them ASAP!

Revenue to maintenance is unimportant, price is. I purchased a bunch of S5 at 0.0028 which at 440 usd/btc means  almost 2% per day from mining, so I don't plan to sell right now ;-)

Do you need to pay the maintence cost? If you have to, then the Hashnest will turn it off when the difficulty is high.

If you can return your investment in two weeks +10 days, lucky you!

I think it would not be impossible to achieve return on investment... but returning it is not enough. You have to actually earn more than you invested in order for it to be worthwhile!

you can sell you gh, when you want, there is no limitation on it. and the Maintenance fee is depending on several things, such is block size, difficulty, price and etc, so as if they are changing, the fee is changing too

Can't tell ya when to sell, that's up to you. Depends on how much you paid for your GHs,how much you have earned & how much your willing to lose  Wink

The fee goes with the price of BTC,if BTC goes up,fee goes down & vice versa.Fee's are tied to dollar not BTC per se.

The fee depends on power usage of the miner, electricity cost and the btc change to the currency by which the hash provider pays its bills.
Difficulty will influence the frequency of found blocks, so the income, not the expenses.

One TH/s theoretically mines 0.00307600 BTC. Then there´s maintenance in dollars, the lower the BTC price the more satoshi to subtract and vice versa.  Presently a dollar about 0.00240000 BTC.

Hi all

Did you noticed that :

antpool hashrate is fluctuating and so is their total hashpower  share .
https://blockchain.info/fr/pools?timespan=24hrs

it used to be 25 % afor both antpool and F2P . Some says it's due to the debate between classic and core .

Any info about this ??
