Looking at the difficulty graph something really bumped up the diff in February. I wouldn't be surprised if that is when the S9s were starting to be put to work, I mean "tested" for users. Stranger things have happened.

Probably also Hashnest moving out old S7's and replacing them with S9's to save on power costs.

Looking forward to a PACMiC V5, wondering if that will happen?

Go to bitcoinwisdom.com and use their profitability calculator to do a determination if you think it is worth it.  Everyone who tells you anything is just giving their best guess, so you are better off coming to your own conclusion about whether it is worth it.

Does anybody know what batch of the s7's that Bitmain offered before the s7 gh were put for sale on Hashnest? Trying to pinpoint when the s9 may be available on Hashnest...not sure if there is a timeline already out there or not but that may give us a good hint at when they plan to release it for hosting.

Well since that is the case I really hope they roll out the s9 hashes soon so we can all buy those and get a lot lower maintenance fees. I suppose we'll have to pay more for the gh though so maybe in the end it will be the same as an s7 in terms of time to ROI

Are we able to buy the amount of S9 hashes that's equivalent to the machine and trade for the actual machine? I hope Hashnest could introduce the voucher code system where users could trade their hashes for vouchers codes for resale, similar to CEX.io

You can do this but it's only an option when the miner becomes obsolete basically. And even then you only have like 7 days to do it so it's really strict. Won't happen to the s7 for a long time I assume but who knows how big the difficulty will get.

Hashnest used to allow users to do that when they first started but this option is no longer offered.

They should allow it again. It could open up new markets for us to trade.

If my memory didn't fail me, I remember S7 hashes were around 0.002 per GH/S when it first launched and the price movement was wild!

Every new hash they offer is like that, the price starts out super high and unreasonable, but people pay for it, then it drops off very sharply.

Base on current price of S9, the prices for S9 hashes should be 0.000225 BTC per GH/S when it first appear on market.
