Guys just one question that I haven't been able to find not even in the official website. How much are points worth in FLDC? I probably have like 63k but mmm is this 1:1 with FLDC? and I am running a ALL user but how do I claim those points for all the other coins that are teamed with FLDC like BCY and CURE for example?

If you want to earn Curecoin you need to join team:#224497

but before you do that please follow these steps:  https://www.curecoin.net/index.php/knowledge-base/12-knowledge-base/folding-for-curecoin/23-how-do-i-start-folding-for-curecoin (bottom of the tutorial is very important.

By Using the ALL statement in your name and going to the cure team you will recieve: Curecoins, FLDC, (other official coins like MAgic FLDC)

for value calculations you can check that here: http://coingain.com/price/fldc/eur

for more details: https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/foldingcoin/

hope that awnsers your questions Smiley

happy folding

This is correct, however Koelie2 it appears you are mostly promoting CURE which is perfectly acceptable and i have no issues with this. However in your links it does not appear to explain to folks how earn FLDC properly at this link https://www.curecoin.net/index.php/knowledge-base/12-knowledge-base/folding-for-curecoin/23-how-do-i-start-folding-for-curecoin

So i would suggest adding a link from our website additional as well that explains how you need to setup a username to earn FLDC as well found here http://foldingcoin.net/resources/video-tutorials/

I will talk with Josh over at CURE and tell him that both our projects need to add descriptions on how to earn the other coin as well so there is little confusion. I will follow up here after we speak

oops thats me :') i was just trying to help people setting up their stuff, it has the same goals right? FLDC and cure? Is there a link that i can send to new users (so you guys don't have to awnser the same stuff over and over again?) (not a video? they are just annoying play pause everytime...)

also the Pooktwo thingy was my mistake (just now realizing that is a default account :')

sorry for misinforming

happy folding Cheesy

yes same goals, different approach. and to clarify again i have no issues with CURE being discussed here, but i would also like to let people know how to setup cure and fldc at the same time which the above links in the quote accomplish that.

And i think i need to clarify things with the "PookTwo" username, thats me (Robert's) Cheesy thats the username i use so thats why i use it as an example. Perhaps i should change the video to show "defaultuser" so it better shows that this is an example and that you should use your own username

thanks!

Hello guys,

did i understand that right?

I got this Address in the Counterwallet 1NyeVt8AZi4sGWMC3TbKbJ9iAabAeJRB3r which i put in the follow command for the Folding in Chrome: PookTwo_ALL_1NyeVt8AZi4sGWMC3TbKbJ9iAabAeJRB3r

So i get Points for the solving. Smiley Do i then get FLDC or how do i get rewardet?
Also grabbed some coins on Poloniex while they are cheap Smiley

I saw this question answered, but remember that you do not need to use "PookTwo", this is my username Cheesy You can put anything here such as "realchlorum". It looks like you did the BTC address correctly, so your username should actually look like this:

realchlorum_ALL_1NyeVt8AZi4sGWMC3TbKbJ9iAabAeJRB3r

Oh whoops. Smiley So do i not get the 115k points then?
Also i see in my Wallet BTC and XCP. Arent we reardet in FLDC?

i forgot to answer your first question there, sorry

Yes you will still get your 115k points in FLDC applied to that BTC address. However, once you change your username to your own, then you basically will be starting your Stanford stats over on a new username, but you still will receive the FLDC you folded towards on that same address with the PookTwo name.

Did that make sense? it sounds kind of weird with me reading it back to myself

Yes that made sense. Wink Thanks for the fast answers! FLDC rocks!

A recap of the past few days, and some common questions answered for new comers to the FoldingCoin project:

http://foldingcoin.net/2016/09/september-10th-update/

Hi, I like the way you guys are heading with this. I'm a veteran folder (over 12 years) and about 18 months for team Curecoin. It's nice to see both teams gain some exposure and interest from the recent price increase.

My reason posting is in regards to your all-in-one installer. I'm wondering if that would be in breach of Stanfords license. It's worth checking out before launching it.

wilding2004-  Nice! I've been folding for about 12 years now, too.

I think the all-in-one installer is OK.

It has been hard to work around Stanford's license, and still make it easy to install Folding@Home. The license verbiage in their installer is:
Quote from: Stanford's Folding@Home Installer License
You may only use unmodified versions of Folding@Home obtained through authorized distributors to connect to the Folding@Home servers. Use of other software to connect to the Folding@Home servers is strictly prohibited. This prohibition includes 3rd party installers which download directly from Stanford web sites, unless written permission is granted from Stanford University.

Distribution of this software is prohibited. It may only be obtained by downloading from Stanford's web site (http://folding.stanford.edu and pages linked therein) or the web site of one of our commercial partners (NVIDIA and AMD).

The FoldingBrowser is only a Chrome-based web browser, and it doesn't contain the Folding@Home installer. The browser (not the installer) does help you navigate to the webpage, then download and run the installer for the Folding@Home software from the Stanford website.  Smiley

The FLDC amount you would earn changes slightly everyday based on the total Folding@Home (FAH) points earned by FoldingCoin users.
If you're not already, you should start folding and find out...   Wink

Yesterday, 10k FAH points would be about 80 FLDC. You would also earn other merged folding coins that are distributed each month.

If you fold on the CureCoin team, you can also earn CURE (see their website for additional info) separately with an FLDC username.

Also remember using your video card will generate 10 to 100 times more FAH points than using your computer's CPU alone (depending on the video card).

Ok If I am the volunteer - how I can spend this coins?
Who accepts

Regarding your question on how you can spend FLDC:

This token is listed on the altcoin exchanges https://poloniex.com/exchange#btc_fldc and https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-FLDC where it can be traded for bitcoin. Also you can trade it (mainly for XCP) on the Counterparty DEX and you may find DEX orders to trade for BTC at https://btcpaymarket.com/.

Another more recent development is that there are FLDC offers on swapbots for a couple of blockchain trading cards playable in the upcoming Spells of Genesis game which will be released in soft launch this month. You can find these listings by searching for FLDC under "Token to Spend" on this site that lets you search for swapbots: http://tokenrank.tokenly.com/ One of the cards you can now acquire this way is the FDCARD, which is extremely valuable as it is the very first blockchain card ever issued by Spells of Genesis, is a limited edition of only 300 cards and was originally distributed by merged folding on the foldingcoin platform.

"The Magic Formula" FDCARD

As FLDC becomes more popular and the community grows, we expect new uses to emerge for this token.

While looking at charts this morning I was pleasantly surprised to see foldingcoin showing great promise.
It compelled me to write about it on steemit because of a personal experience I had.
If anyone's interested here it is: https://steemit.com/life/@bluehorseshoe/a-brilliant-crypto-coin-with-purpose-finally-starts-getting-what-it-deserves-attention-and-i-couldn-t-be-happier

My hopes are it brings in some new members to the community.

In the meantime congrats to all of you, your backing a true coin with true purpose.

joehoebot- Welcome back!   Smiley

The FLDK in the middle of your username should have been FLDC. But, going forward that is not used, and everyone gets all the merged mining coins each month. So it should be OK, but you might want to fix it anyway.

Coin distributions are monthly. You can check the homepage for the next distribution:
http://foldingcoin.net/

For other setup info check out the tutorials page:
http://foldingcoin.net/resources/video-tutorials/

If you fold on the CureCoin team, you can also earn CURE separately with a 50 character or less FLDC username.
See their website for additional info: https://www.curecoin.net/

Foldingcoin got featured in a coremedia article!

http://coremedia.info/index.php/blockchain-news/item/316-foldingcoin-mining-in-the-name-of-science

The article states that FLDC is distributed daily, this is currently not accurate anymore as we now distribute on a monthly basis. Otherwise a pretty good summary of the Foldingcoin project. Please give it a 5 star rating if you like the article  Cool
