How many ASIC's are on that PCB? 2?

Guessing 4. Sources suggest that they're running at half speed due to power/heat issues with the pre-production boards.

Suhweetah!

Wouldn't another solution be, for the aftermarket hacker, to augment the PS and let 'er rip? Looks like a heap of FET switchers like any other computer motherboard might have... Just liquid cool them, too...

Damn, my device is already 10x faster than BFLs competing product. And I only used 2 minutes to develop my ASIC!

What steps do I need to take to make sure jansson is installed and linked correctly?  Doesn't seem to be a yum install JSON anywhere around.

I installed catalyst using the following:
Code:
cd /use/share/ati
./amd-uninstall.sh -force
on reboot enter init 3 by hitting "a" and adding a "3" to the end of the command line ...
yum install fglrx64_p_i_c... (which I had minutes before built upon this very machine)
on reboot enter init 3 by hitting "a" and adding a "3" to the end of the command line ...
aticonfig -f --adapters=all --initial
init 5

this worked for me some time ago on Fedora 16:

yum -y install jansson-devel  libcurl-devel python-twisted

git clone  https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer
cd bfgminer
./autogen.sh  ## --enable-cpumining --enable-scrypt

make -j3

cd /home/test/Downloads/AMD-APP-SDK-v2.7-lnx64
./Install-AMD-APP.sh

./bfgminer  --gpu-threads 1  -I d -o mining.eligius.st:8337 -O 12jNbMzoBGLcKa7qY45gbcDfG4ms8jRWyf --no-submit-stale --auto-fan --temp-target 70 --gpu-memclock 1000 --gpu-engine 1120

While I did not have python-twisted installed, after installing and recompiling it made no difference.

$ ./bfgminer -n

I do appreciate the suggestion, though.

Hey guys,
I am trying to make bfgminer from git working with my Cairnsmore1 boards with HashVoodoo bitstream.
Some details:
AMD A10 APU + ASRock FM2A75 Pro4
Code:
# uname -a
Linux amd-a10 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.41-2 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Code:
n# lsb_release -a
No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Debian
Description:    Debian GNU/Linux 7.0 (wheezy)
Release:        7.0
Codename:       wheezy
Code:
# lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 006 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

Bus 011 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 006 Device 002: ID 1ea7:0002
Code:
# ls /dev/ttyUSB*
/dev/ttyUSB0  /dev/ttyUSB1  /dev/ttyUSB2  /dev/ttyUSB3
I tried to use latest bfgminer from git dated as below:
Code:
commit 7454181fcffdea59bb2cf6f32809df6c78bc47a5
Merge: f374013 d41b6b2
Author: Luke Dashjr <luke-jr+git@utopios.org>
Date:   Thu Apr 4 00:42:38 2013 +0000
I successfully compiled it with default settings. When I am running bfgminer from command line, that's what I have:
Code:
./bfgminer -D -T

I have one ECM 0 detected properly with dynamic hashrate and 3x ICA with default 150MH/s speed, no dynamic frequency scaling Sad

However, I was digging further and discovered, that Ubuntu Lucid Lynx AMD64 binary (bfgminer_2.10.5-0lucid1_amd64.deb) is working fine on my system:
Code:
# /usr/bin/bfgminer --version
bfgminer 2.10.5
Code:
# /usr/bin/bfgminer -D -T

I had strange problem recently with two cards - I do not know which part helped :
patched old ati.12.4 driver for kernel 3.6
installed AMD_APP 2.8
installed "MATE Desktop"
aticonfig -f --adapters=all --initial
reboot
telinit 5

aticonfig --lsa
[test@localhost /]$ aticonfig --lsa
* 0. 01:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
  1. 02:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series

* - Default adapter
[test@localhost /]$ aticonfig --adapter=0 --odgc

Adapter 0 - AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
                            Core (MHz)    Memory (MHz)
           Current Clocks :    1150           1000
             Current Peak :    1150           1000
  Configurable Peak Range : [1150-1200]     [1000-1575]
                 GPU load :    99%
[test@localhost /]$ aticonfig --adapter=1 --odgc

Adapter 1 - AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
                            Core (MHz)    Memory (MHz)
           Current Clocks :    1120           970
             Current Peak :    1120           970
  Configurable Peak Range : [1120-1050]     [970-1450]
                 GPU load :    99%

( I had error with adapter "1" before - see : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1721.msg1704657#msg1704657 )

Best bet is probably to bisect it.
I'm planning to release BFGMiner 3.0 tonight, so if you want this fixed in it, it may be best to get in touch on IRC.

As of BFGMiner 3.0, we have a new forum thread.
