Does anyone know how many wallets are live, or how big the current userbase of DarkNote is?
As I was told the anonymous aspect of DarkNote prevents a richlist, but it would be very useful information if we could know how many people are actually using/stacking XDN,
and if this number has been rising steadily.

same like you . where rich list and chain ?

The is no rich list, it's not because someone doesn't want to put it together. Ring signatures cause blockchain analysis resistance. What this translates to with a rich list is that the value of any particular transaction seen on the blockchain is very likely inaccurate. A transaction of 10 could look like a transaction of 100 or a different value or whatever. It's just how it works, and was designed that way.

As far as the number of wallets on the network, that also cannot be observed by parsing the blockchain. With stealth addressing/one time addresses, it's virtually improbable to describe an accurate number of people using the software. The best statistics for something like that can be found by tracking the number of binary downloads from a couple of different locations. That won't give a perfect picture either though.

The blockchain is here: https://minergate.com/blockchain/duck/blocks

If you look through the old ducknote thread and this one, I think you will find there are significantly less posters than there are for other cryptonotes such as boolberry and monero, which is what makes the extremely fast emission rate troublesome - almost all of the coins were disbursed when interest in the coin was low.

I can say that ~10.000 workers mined DarkNote last month on average.

We expect 2000-3000 active miners and more that 10000 persons who have some XDN. That is an approximate value.

How convert x64 bit wallet to x32 bit?
currently no way, only send XDN to the new wallet.

1.Are the devs from Malaysia? http://darknotetalk.org/index.php?topic=43.0

2.Could this replace/supercede Bitmessage for communication? If only small network fee needs to be paid per transaction. Also "comments" = Bitmessage chan?

Wow.

PS I run https://BitChirp.org - Anonymous, Secure Social Media Based On Bitmessage

This is very, very clever.
"(1) to have ~80% of XDN units of value amount in circulation (on market) after approx. 1 year of mining and XDN rising. Remember, 80% of coins in circulation in ASIC-resistant, CPU-efficient decentralized anonymous Proof-of-Work payment network"

DarkNote encrypted messsages is a different too BitMessage technology, and as we believe, DarkNote encrypted messages is much more powerful.
We are working on new features, and one is the almost zero or no fee for short-life messages.

Any service, like "DarkTwitter" can be implemented on DarkNote messages base layer. In future we will improve cryptography to make different use-case solutions. Stay updated.

Cool, maybe I will implement DarkChirp version of BitChirp.org Smiley

One more thing: I am also the maker of http://MojuCoin.com app. It predicts BTC/USD prices. The free version for PC, Mac and Android right now has a "test" ad at the bottom (click on 0.5 Beta text). This is advertising Dogecoin (see dog in app). I can change it to advertising DarkNote. But I would need Darknote community support to spread my MojuCoin app wide and far.

Win-Win possibly. I advertise for DarkNote, you advertise for MojuCoin.

I agree. Coin is affordable and available to anyone now on multiple exchanges. What % is currently available by total sell orders?

Right now:

1. HitBTC - 417.117.110 on sell orders
2. Poloniex - 237.558.141 on sell orders
3. Bittrex - 37.980.000

TOTAL (692655251/6,419,072,474) = ~ 10.79% XDN on exchanges right now.

Do you mind me asking how you figured that out? Are you taking the hashrate and using the 2000-3000 miner number to represent the average hashrate per user of the network? That's what I'd do, divide the hashrate by the average hashrate obtainable by a standard computer owner I guess. What do you think?

DarkNote encrypted messsages is a different too BitMessage technology, and as we believe, DarkNote encrypted messages is much more powerful.

Does this mean you are considering a type of tor/i2p integration into your client? As far as I understand, bitmessage relies on a few servers to store encrypted messages for a certain amount of time (2 days). Darknote would have this information permanently recorded on the blockchain..unless...

Regardless of the implementation, you're saying that your implementation of ring signatures can be utilized to create a short-life message? AFAICS that would involve pruning of the blockchain. Do you mean to say you're going to implement a pruning system into CryptoNote? Is this a reduction/reorginization of useful information stored in the blockchain, or the ability to cut off the blockchain before a chosen certain date?

Staying tuned now for sure Cheesy

Maybe he means that he has a botnet of 1990 computers, so there's gotta be at least 10 other people mining? Tongue

I kind of doubt the 10k persons number. I wrote a python script yesterday to parse how many posters there were on a bitcointalk thread, and on the duckNote thread there was a total of 287 different people who posted, and less than 150 people who posted more than one message. That would indicate almost a 100:1 lurker to poster ratio, which seems kinda high. I would be interested also in how the 10k persons number was arrived at. I will post some data tomorrow or the next day comparing btctalk activity amongst the different cryptonotes (along with the source code for anyone interested).
