People lost faith, there was lots of trouble, thats probably also why most are selling. I liked the idea though.
I never had faith on this. I knew it was a failure. Glad I didn't buy at IPO and sad I spent 5 days mining

1. People are selling because they just staked a crap load of coins and the price on bittrex was way too high considering how many coins are being added to the supply currently. It is a (smart)ish move. they wont be able to get the multiplaction on those new coins over the next 6 days.. but they will sell those handful at a much higher rate. 2. The project has seen some issues, but is far from a failure. tbh if I staked 40 coins in the first few blocks I would have rushed them to market to get top dollar from them too before the price levels out after all these new coins stake. It is a really interesting distribution method which I am glad to have put a bit of money in to experiment with. If you don't agree with it take your coins out of your wallet and sell them at a loss

And of course all these coins being sold on bittrex are losing their coin age, reducing overall supply even further.

So since I am still receiving .00001 rewards at this time, should I disable staking and wait for a supposed hard fork? I'm really at odds on what to do right now.

I have disabled staking to preserve coin age, I'm sure we will see the hard fork and new wallet pretty quickly

Do we need to delete the roaming files for this to work like the last update?

For everyone staking 0.00001, nothing will change for another 10 hours or so. I'll leave it up to you whether you wish to continue staking or not, but please update as soon as possible.
Everyone please update your wallets as soon as possible. I will be contacting bittrex and our block explorer to get them to update asap.
There will be no need to delete anything when you update. As long as you're running wallet version 1.0.4.0 right now, you can't help but end up on the correct fork. It's impossible not to.
You will need to delete those files if you update after 10 hours from now though.

I updated right now...didn't delete anything...am I currently staking, or will that kick off after the update deadline? Thanks

I presume after this update, that 5 coins in lots of little chunks will generate as much as 5 coins in 1 chunk?

on windoze I get "error loading blkindex.dat" no biggies it only takes a few minutes to resynch How did you get around that problem? I'm trying to find that file on my computer so I can delete it. EDIT: The only files I find with that name correspond to a completely different wallet. I don't think I want to delete another wallet's block index file. What's the workaround?

If you're having this problem, go to %appdata%/seedcoin and delete everything except your wallet.dat. Be very careful not to delete wallet.dat. You may also want to keep your peers.dat and seedcoin.conf if you have one.

Nobody can ever say this is not funny.
Now, with everyone and his aunt running to stake, the supply will disappear and the price run back up?
I have ordered lots of pop corn...
