Thanks for the confirmation Covertress. Wow, so technically Gaia should be worth almost double now right?

Is it possible to backup my wallet using dumpprivkey, like I do with other coins from debug console.
When I am changing my PC, which file should I backup. I don't see a wallet.dat file.

It is good that you give people the choice to swap or not to swap. I have a question. In the first week the maximum total swap is 4M new coins. There are 23M GAIA so not everybody can swap 1:5 in the first week. Is that correct? Then the remaining 6M is for sale and the fixed price is 6000 Sat. Which is ambitious but stroke of genius and I am very curious how this works out. I wish you success!
The initial 4 million coins can cover up to 20 million exchanged Gaia, I am not sure we will reach the threshold, Gaia has 24 million coins so 20 million is plenty considering only those who will install the new wallet will be able to exchange any coins. This again is not intended to end the Gaia chain, so assuming a total migration is also a bit of an overshoot. I am working on the new OP for Eth-based coin today and hopefully we will have a smooth launch within the next 24 hours. thanks for reply and sorry if i talked to bad in the forum but i had sooo much bad experience with scam devs and i see now your not one of them. i tried to install the wallet, but i have a new computer now and had many problems to synch my wallets. i make you as the gaia dev an offer (can i really trust you?) you get 400k gaiacoin from me (i hold like 2.2-2.4 millions) if you manage to recover my coins (i have like 5 wallet.dats dont know which is right or wrong) and then send it to an adress i give you. the risk is im not 100 percent sure if i made a passwort and then did not safed the wallet.dat, so worst case would be my coins are lost. please answer me, if not i have to ask someone other i think its a really fair offer and your the dev. but please dont play games with me and that all my coins are away okay??? greetings croxx Like I said in the message I will help you recover your coins and do not expect anything in return. This windows QT wallet will be easier for some to work with and does not use the web GUI : https://www.dropbox.com/s/b4z05b426sb98fk/gaiacoin-qt.rar?dl=0whatever you do, do not hand your dat files to anyone, just use them in the qt one by one and send the coins to an exchange address. keep a copy of all your dat files until you are 100% certain the coins are safe. I will be around later when you get home and maybe I'll be able to help you figure this out. there is a QT wallet to if you prefer. for the webwallet your wallet.dat is on your local harddrive (my case C:/gaiacoin/gaiadata) not the roaming appdata folder thingy like QT's . hope it helps

wallet.dat is inside the gaiadata folder. just backup your gaiadata folder or your wallet.dat you can use dumpprivkey if you are not staking, and all your coins are on one address. Every time you create new addresses in your wallet, you should backup your wallet.dat To prevent corruption to your saved wallet.dat, you should turn off the wallet before making the copy. <- a precaution.

How are these two coins related? Well covertress has been the "Face of GAIA" since like... forever . Plus that GAIA can and is being swapped for covertress' KR Krypton. which will mean GAIA will be more scarce. Already ~10million burned from total~24.5 million Gaia Burned: 9,725,400.00 to be more exact dunno if ya wanna call that related.. but theres a connection there

Yep, seems so... I hadn't opened my wallet in a few weeks, then saw the in wallet tweet yesterday when I opened it... I'm surprised devs haven't figured out not to put short time limits on swaps... ends up making even more butthurts. anywho at least I didn't still have millions of them, but still would have been nice to participate considering I was one of the original supporters of GAIA. Cheers all
