HI, I don't think too that create token is a good idea ... This will blow the investment of early adopters, after all this waiting it would be a waste !

But I think you must give us some estimated roadmap and update it weekly. Just a simple roadmap on an url. Or you can give public changelog or a log of advanced. So we can see the timeline of the project and the roadmap. It will shut up for those who FUD and it will help early investors to be patient.

Furthermore, I'm interested in the new beta testing.

Have a nice day !

Thanks for your input on the token, most everyone seems to be of the same opinion.  We will try to be more open with our timing, but a lot depends on financing now.  The software and game selection, we have prepared is looking fantastic, the demo testers have been able to access them and there has been visible progress on the games.  Send us a PM requesting access and we will make arrangements for you to access.  Thanks.

So we are still holding the "receipt" that was given to us months ago untill the wallet is ready, right?

Receipt? You should be holding the private key in the form of an encrypted json file. The name would be something like

breakout-wallet-BITCOINADDRESS.json

Where BITCOINADDRESS is a bitcoin address. E.g. (19Qrqd5kZqABCDm9Zrh2bEDb7GPecFZZZY, <= that's not a valid address)

That json file should be plain text and have the keys "btcaddr", "email", "encseed".

If you don't have that file then you should find it.

Glad to hear that progress has been made on gaming software.

The majority of us are eagerly waiting for that timeline and those screenshots & demo videos.

Sale ended. What's next?

I see that the re-use Breakout wallet function can still be used. Does this mean that coins can be added to the existing wallets at the rate of 1000 BRO per BTC? Or it is just an error?

I would avoid sending any btc or using the re-use wallet tool.  We will have the site down or updated asap.  The 1000 BRO is just pre-programmed for the second phase of the coin sale.

Thanks everyone for participating in the first coin sale.  Considering the current btc and altcoin market, we consider it a success.  There was a few rocky moments and we are extremely thankful for having such a supportive group.  We will do our best to complete the project in a timely manner and reward participants in the first phase that took a leap of faith with us.  We will be very transparent going forward and will continually provide updates on this thread.  Please do not hesitate to post questions on this thread or pm us, we will try to communicate with the community as best we can.

Sincerely,

Breakout Coin

You have let us down on this.  I personally feel very misled, even being one of the beta testers.  Have the coin created and released it to those .  At least then we have something if you guys don't end up with the funding you're looking for.

You owe us more than "we're looking for investors".  At this point enough is enough.  If you have all of these poker celebrities on board surely one or more of them will back the project, right?  As you can tell, my tone has changed.  It's time to get serious.  At this point we're just being given the same line over and over and we gave you our BTC 5 months ago with nothing to show for it but an (awesome!) alpha poker site with fake coins.

How are you Koontas

Great, thanks!

Can you guys give us the plan for the development and distribution of BRO itself and where that will play into the timeline?  I know many here would be interested in that.

Are there any concerns about the implementation of Bergstake?  As this is a huge part of what people are investing in, it would be great to hear an update as this code doesn't yet exist (as far as we know) and is only documented in a whitepaper.

The plan for the development and distribution of BRO itself has not changed since the inception of the project.  We have been planning to release the coin and Bergstake at the same time as the official launch of Breakout Gaming.  However, since the timeline is taking longer than expected, we do want to leave it up for discussion with the community, to see if there are ways to release the coin sooner.  There has been some discussion to potentially release a temp coin asset that can be traded in for the official BRO once we are ready, so that owners of the BRO can potentially trade their assets prior to our official release.  But, we have concerns that it may potentially devalue the true value of BRO during the time we are in development stage of Breakout Gaming.  What do you all think?

I think it would be a bad idea to release a token, and I invested a lot of BTC in the first round. I'm in no hurry to ROI. If you release a token, it will pump and dump. Your 2nd phase ICO will reflect the dump price. Think seriously about that.

Also consider that the capital you wished to raise in the second part of the ICO will be bled significantly into the pockets of the whales who executed the pump and dump.

In the end, releasing a token early will suck capital from the project and dilute our investment.

Guys i just checked the thread..

I also think releasing a token would be a really bad idea, as it will definitely put price down, especially if official launch wont follow quickly. So, much better choice is to wait for the actual launch and keep community update with progress.

I can also wait till you got sth. tangible with no problem, i knew somehow this wont start as planned.

It appears that the launch delay is caused by their quest for private funding, not because they don't have something "tangible".

While private funding may be beneficial to this project, I'm afraid that's going to take few more months.

You may say that timelines are not desirable, but we need to know what the hell is going... How many months is this launch going to take?

Bitarri,

It may take a while longer than expected.  W thank you for your patience.  If you want an invite to test the software and verify the work that has currently be done, please contact us.
We understand your concerns and want to launch early as possible, but the amount of capital needed to set-up a support and gaming staff properly, along with proper licensing is exponentially more than what was raised in the crowd sale.  The good news is the software is looking terrific and will be a leading edge gaming hub once we launch.

Since the software is ready, I don't think you need much funding to set-up the support & gaming staff or to obtain proper licensing. If you launch the new coin sale as promised while showcasing the gaming software, you should have plenty of funds to cover all that... Unless you're in the business of fundraising...

Have to say i totally agree with Koontas. I mean you really should be able to get enough funds from your poker supporters-celebrities. If you believe in this project... Its not like you need few million USD. Start small and scale up from then, thats how all startups go. I do disagree to launch a coin now though, because it will lose value in this state and we as "initial investors" will be at the worst position.

such scam...release the software already and you'll raise funds in no time.
Lazy bunch...

release the token already and let us trade this shit. Soon you'll say "sorry guys, we could not raise the funs, bla bla bla"...
Or at least refund the btcs to those who request it. It's clear by now that you're going nowhere.

This is quite an outburst. It's obvious that a lot of ICO buyers are starting to lose confidence.

I don't necessarily share their opinions, but these concerns need to be addressed.

If Breakout is indeed looking for funding outside of the crypto-sphere, it will be a good idea to fix the easy things that would undoubtedly help with other avenues of fundraising:

1. Provide a timeline of development or release. Be inclusive and let it come from the OP. Give date ranges and explain contingencies.
2. Fix (up) the web site. Put the preview images in. Make updates. Get it current.
3. Start using the twitter account to show evidence of a pulse to the greater population.
4. Get the press releases flowing again.
5. Move to phase 2 of the ICO without further delay. The benefit of waiting for a more complete product is going to be increasingly undercut by a lack of confidence from the crypto-community. If you look at factom, there are still plenty of individuals who want to get in on the ground floor of a promising crypto project. But if you have several dozen accounts on this thread accusing Breakout of being a scam, you are going to see significantly less money from the ICO. You already need non-ICO funding, so you might as well get ICO funds while you can use them.

I know that your first round ICO represents only a small fraction of your total needed funds. But the crypto-community is an important bellwether for any crypto-currency project such as Breakout gaming. Don't ignore this community because it seems like an insignificant source of funds. Rather, it can be a significant source of visibility and help with your larger fundraising efforts through positive exposure.

Very well said TX42.

Factom just sold over $1 Million in first 24 hours of its ICO, mainly because they gained people's confidence:
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3129rb/factom_sells_over_1_million_in_first_24_hours

BreakoutGaming has the potential to go much more mainstream than Factom, so a well planned and well advertised ICO should have no problem raise more funds than Factom, especially when backed by poker celebrities.

Stop dwelling on the past ICO results and get to work and make this next ICO a success.

Wow.  That's a good question.  Hard to believe a "Core Developer" would split time between multiple projects when one raised over $1m in 24 hours.

It's great to be skeptical, but you are trolling here.

Jay Berg is contracted for BRO coin, not a core developer. He said this several weeks ago.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=808648.msg9894488#msg9894488

Let's stick to legitimate concerns here, we'll make more progress. Don't try to "clean up" crypto by spreading unnecessary FUD. If you stick with the real issues you'll make more progress towards legitimacy than you will by just being a low grade troll.

[edit]

But this page is a bit misleading, so qawsx get's a 1/2 FUD rating.

http://fundraiser.breakoutgaming.com/the-team/

Still, we accept that David Hanlon (for example) has other employment outside of Breakout, so we should expect the programmers to also have outside employment.

"Nothing to show"? Quit being a stupid troll. Plenty of people have tested their gaming platform. Stick to reality. You want us to think you are helping to "clean up crypto" but your noise just enables the scammers by distracting from the real issues. You must be one of the scammers. That's my only conclusion.
