Why would anyone buy coins at an inflated price of 500% so the first phase ico buyers can dump anywhere underneath that. While the rest of the latecomers have to sit by and watch the value of the coin plummet?

It depends what you think the future value is going to be.  It's very possible you can buy BRO cheaper after the ICO, but you won't get Bergstake in the secondary market.  It's something you need to consider.
to penalize late comers 500% is off the wall ridiculous, what is the stake % anyways

Who said it would be 500% ?

It was just over 100% and then they changed it to make it more fair at the end of ipo, i also mentioned that it was ridiculous to give the investors of the first few days 100% more benefit than people investing in the same IPO but 25 days+ later , and i am one of the primary investors of the first day.

It's actually 400%, but who's calculating?
so first phase was get get 5000 bro/btc
Last phase is get 1000bro/btc
Where did I go wrong? Should equal 500% diff no?

I was under the assumption that the price hasn't yet be determined , no one from the dev team that i can see has given a definite price quote for second phase, just "it will be less bro per btc and you will be able to see demo's "

If 1000 bro/btc is too expensive for you, why didn't you buy when it was 5000 bro/btc?  Huh

Let's not get into how to calculate % increase/decrease.  There's a difference and that's all we need to know. Just like when the price of something goes from 1 to 2. It's not a 200% increase, but a 100% increase. We can just leave it there.

Hindsight is 20/20. People who bought early took a chance and had to come up with BTC in less time. There was a full week of 6000 BRO / BTC prices. Most people missed NXT, XCP, etc. This is just another ICO. If you think the coin is going to go down when it hits exchanges, wait until then to buy it.

Really, what you are unhappy about is not a "penalty", but missing the boat on rewards for early investors. This is crypto, so you may need to accept one day that early investors get rewarded.

Instead of complaining, you should be searching around for the next opportunity. Those of us who invested here early have that many fewer bitcoins to invest in opportunities that are springing up right now. Maybe you should take up that disparity as your crusade.

Very true Techbytes.  It's common for writer's to submit an article and the editor tags on an attention grabbing headline.

So, Gian Perroni is head or marketing?  Not many crypto projects have this kind of experience behind it.
Is this Gian?

Wowza!

Not even Ethereum or CounterParty have such team caliber. Not to mention the swell of celebrities supporting BRO.
