I'm working on setting up a dev environment on a VPS and documenting how to get setup for submitting a pull request to the crown-core repo. We are about to open up the gitlab source code and start getting devs from the community to work on things they're interested in. I'm also working on the verbiage for the new roadmap milestones; trying to make sure everything is able to be understood by the non-technical folks in the room!

I'm working on setting up a dev environment on a VPS and documenting how to get setup for submitting a pull request to the crown-core repo. We are about to open up the gitlab source code and start getting devs from the community to work on things they're interested in. I'm also working on the verbiage for the new roadmap milestones; trying to make sure everything is able to be understood by the non-technical folks in the room!

I'm doing university now, studying Computer Science.
I've got two programming assignments due this friday. (C and Python)
In one assignment (C) we have to improve a frogger clone (microcontroller w/ a 16x8 LED matrix).
The other involves improving a tower defence game.

Crown Wallet redesign

Dear Crown Community,

I've been asked by some members of the Crown team to do a redesign of the current wallet. I'm a designer from the Netherlands asked to help the Crown Community to get a better experience with the Crown Wallet. I'm currently working as a senior visual designer at a top digital design agency in the Netherlands. Currently I'm helping out the Philips Hue team, as a senior visual designer with the redesign and setup of their new Design Language System, a huge visual overhaul coming at the end of May .

My expertise and knowledge could bring the wallet to a higher level! For this reason, I have submitted a proposal that the community can now vote on. Looking forward to start this project for you guys! Kind regards, Whiz.

Programming classes are fun, I kinda miss 'em! You should send me some pics on MM of your microcontroller setup; it sounds like a cool project. I got one of those headless Raspberry Pis (Zero W I think it's called) but I haven't done anything with it yet  Did you see the little coin tracker projects from the guys in the Netherlands and the one from defunctec? It's interesting to see what "blockchain meets dev meets hardware" projects come up with.

Howdy Whiz, fantastic effort and awesome seeing you active within the Crown community. I'm familiar with the superb quality of your (past) projects, which makes me even more curious about what you'll come up with for the Crown platform. I, for one, am looking forward to both your involvement as well as the end result of the wallet overhaul. Who knows, in terms of future reference, Crown found a resident in-house UI/UX designer?

How is everyone feeling about the move to PoS? I am hopeful that we hear from Chaositec soon on more details about the Third Way but this seems like progress in the right direction by using something more field-tested but still more energy efficient than PoW.

Looks pretty similar to the Zoin desktop wallet. Crown definitely needs an upgrade on the UI/UX.

new roadmap is looking great! trying to make sure the API remains the priority for the network while still fixing bugs and adding partnership opportunities. devs are working hard on the next release which I think is going to be the first release since update notifications were added to the GUI wallet, so that will be fun to test out 
and soon the gitlab will be open for community devs to get involved with the core dev team, learning about the process and getting involved, getting shown how to get paid for their work, either through bounties or through proposals. I think this is going to be great for the network as more devs in the community get their hands on the code and start to understand it, and help build it into a platform for blockchain businesses of the future!
