What is a Systemnode?

A Systemnode is a server on the Crown network that is secured by collateral and provides services that support applications and services published via Crown Atomic. The operator of a Systemnode will be rewarded a portion of the block reward in return for providing those services.

Systemnodes are already in the Crown testnet undergoing public testing.  Systemnodes will be released during November 2017.

I suspect that Trons will start to receive a higher reward again after a few thousand SNs have been set up although its impossible to estimate exactly when.  This will be near to our first Zuck Equilibrium!

Excellent news. Everyone excited about the upcoming SN update. Few people in my community i know are gonna be taking advantage of the nice ROI%. Gonna be some serious CRW made for those who get started early setting up the systemnodes

I made some improvements to the above Systemnode Rewards calculator.

The following things were added:
- Configurable Crown price
- Configurable hosting costs
- Configurable amount of Systemnodes
- Rewards shown in USD per day/week/month/year

I created it in 10-15min, so please let me know if something is off or wrong.

Actually very happy to see very high quality proposals making it to the governance network and being voted in. This superblock nearly 40k CRW will be distributed to 15 proposals. One of the last proposal is a full time PR manager Joe, who is taking over Crown PR and marketing as we speak. A lot of new ambassadors worldwide getting funded, good progress on that front

Yeah, you probably mean the Wiki proposal, thats why it is not passing. The links to all the documents of the 15 successful proposals are working fine

This document is a good foundation for developers and potential consumers to understand how the Crown platform can be used and what possibilities it will open. This is not a part of the technical specification, but rather a basis for the Crown Atomic whitepaper. It will help the developers and community to understand mechanics of the application platform and Atomic core. How it's going to use and extend existing Crown subsystems: Masternodes, Systemnodes, and Governance. On the weekly team meeting we discussed some technical questions about possible platform directions and agreed to take another developer on board. This developer will increase Artems team. More information on this will be released soon.
