And while the world goes down around us, SGC does not care, and the bets on the price of Monero have now been settled.

Monero did not go to either 1900 or 1500 in the bet window.

SGC002 yielded 1.546724 mil per winning ticket, a win of about 55%.

SCG003 yielded 1.006486 mil only, since pretty much everyone had bet on Monero keeping above 1500. If Monero had broken below (it wasn't far), the win would have been... 37.24 mil per ticket Shocked

Since a M doubling happened in the meantime, SGC decided to pay double to new players.

SGC will likely open new bets in the near future, stay tuned!

The Stonehaven Gaming Company

After the success of the raffle bets, it was suggested that SGC run a longer version of that. This is what SGC005 is all about. For a whole week, raffle prizes will be counted, in the same way as the previous contest. The square root function is done on every raffler's daily count, so as to encourage more people having a couple daily hunts.

For reference, the past three monday-to-sunday weeks had these scores:
3-9: 316.08
10-16: 325.47
17-23: 455.09

The last one contains the contest sunday, whose single score was 120.85. I don't see it plausible that such a fervent raffle activity can be fully sustained for a whole week though, so I'm not quite making the weekly target 7 times that. I think 777 is a good target.

The https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC005A series tickets bet the cumulative weekly score will be at least 777
The https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC005B series tickets bet that it will not reach 777

SGC will be selling these tickets till sunday evening. Tickets are free trading at all times.

Edit:

And to continue with the Monero price betting, we're now aiming for 1600k satoshi:

The https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC006A series tickets bet Monero reaches at least 1,600,000 satoshi by the evening of 3 may 2017, midnight GMT
The https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC006B series tickets bet it does not.

Let the better bettor win Smiley

I like to throw my money in virtual pits. How does one invest in the "Stonehaven Gaming Company" directly?

It's a privately held company right now. I did think of making shares for it, but I didn't know whether it'd catch on. Looks like it has, so I might do it in the near future.

The Stonehaven Gaming Company

The Stonehave Gaming Company is hard at work on finding new ways for the inhabitants of Crypto town to have some fun with their hard earned M.

With the recent, shall we say... uncertainty about the B1 withdrawals:

https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC007A bets Sir Mooo's 70k B1 withdrawal goes through before the evening of 15 may.
https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC007B bets it doesn't.

Let the market show its thoughtful appraisal of the probability!

Dear all,

I will be leaving Crypto Kingdom. Some practical announcements:

  • I am happy to announce that the Loafiest Loaf around, Marquess_Loaf, will be taking control of all of my CK accounts (including the companies, County, and the whole Syyskuu family). I could not have wished for a better legacy, given the circumstances. Marquess Loaf will ultimately decide how assets belonging to Syksy or the companies will now be dealt with as he owns them, but I am ready to be there to arrange things on a practical level during the transition.
  • My irssi screen will remain open in freenode, so if you have unfinished business or concerns do a "/query Syksy". I will keep it on for as long as I deem necessary to ensure there would be no loose ends. I'm estimating that roughly a week could be a feasible timeframe for this.
  • Please remove the "433739   13,400   Syksy (138)   4/21/2017 8:33:00   3E6zpE5aT4s6J8NPvdBhHVwAV4PsksWMoV   16,616.00   30.016   136:26:01         29.916   13.4" entry from the B1 google doc listing. I no longer wish for the BTC transaction, nor the interest. Let this particular row be resolved and discarded in-game as well.
  • Loaf will ultimately decide the fate of my R source code(s) as well as all data I've gathered, but I am myself ready to release to public domain the Jovial Jester, the Jester Corp app for data analysis, as well as ~2 years of item buy/sell offer data, ~1 year of item ownership data, as well as ~1 year of lot bid info. The fetch frequencies have varied between 2 hours to 24 hours, with a median of around 12 hours for items if I recall right (fetching frequency was adjusted if something interesting was happening in the markets). If there are any additional requests I'll likely provide the requested content, if I just am capable.
  • The Syksy nickname in IRC will still belong to me for the time being, as well as this BCT account, but I am assuming that this will quickly become obsolete as I've never contributed to any other threads than CK ones. I also do not think I will remain in freenode, so if you are approached by somebody using my nickname with a suspicious proposition you may wish to carefully examine it.

To all Crypto Kingdomians, live long and prosper! May the kingdom rise from the ashes like a resurrected phoenix purified and purged through blazing flames.
To Risto, thank you for all the work you've put into CK and other projects over the years. I wish you all the best, and a successful yet exciting and fulfilling future.
It's been a priviledge to meet you all, and I would like to express my humblest gratitude for all the shared moments in-game and relevant messaging platforms.

All journeys have a beginning and an end, but there are many forks along the way. Perhaps our paths will cross once again.

Goodbye,
Syksy aka. Daniel

Greetings,Risto!

First of all I want to offer you my appreciation for creating and administrating the Crypto Kingdom. You surely have a great mind and for this you have all my respect and admiration.

On another hand I tried to contact you on the IRC chat as well, but I guess you were too busy too reply. My player id in Crypto Kingdom is 200. I currently have 5000 E1(5000 euros) and I would really need a withdrawal, but I live far from Estonia and it is hard from me as I'm overhelmed now with some RL problems. So I can't come to withdraw in person. So I was wondering and I am asking you for a favor: can you please transfer me the E1 through bank transfer or other electronic methods of payment? That would be a really blessing for me and I give you my word that I will return them to the kingdom in maximum 4 months as I need them to run a FX trading strategy that has a great performance over years.

My best regards,
ChrisPop

Dear ChrisPop,

I acknowledge the receipt of your Admiration=3. I must write to in brief, since I must tell you and to everyone who Cares=3 to listen, I have had Busy=5 day since the Fire=6. I am thinking about whether to start the New=4 calendar from (previous) last midnight, since the fire was such a pivotal event. I will address the rest of your concerns later. Yours, Sign.

Monero shot up to past 1600k already, so that takes care of SGC006.
Odin and hmc win. Nobody had bet against, so this is just money back for Odin and hmc.

Since that one got decided to fast, I've opened another one, to see whether Monero goes back to 1500k by the end of the third of may.

https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC008A says it does.
https://cryptokingdom.me/marketplace/item/SGC008B says it doesn't.

High( & Dramajestic),

Mircea Popescu is given that 4th class Fucking GOAT Medal that Loaf is now administering. The Marquis-de-Fuck ("Fucking Marquess") Mircea, LOAF401, etc(?) accepts gifts to get him started in the ways of Light(, I presume).

LOAF401 is the highest awarded to any non-self.

Piece of evidence.*

Hoe.

*Of course I only read the footnotes(, as if you paid attention to my full compositions - let alone to their high meanings - either).

I have participated in an on stage performance of Carmina Burana and I can assure the reader that it has nothing to do with the manipulation of currency markets.

Concerned that blockchain bloat will lead to centralization? Storing less than 4 GB of data once required the budget of a superpower and a warehouse full of punched cards. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/87/IBM_card_storage.NARA.jpg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punched_card
