I wasn't talking about the scratchpad. If you ran the miner on a 970 it got 1400.

Gpu #3 is running @ 1025, is it a bug or is this gpu clocked lower than the others? (Asus gpu #0 seems to be doing fine)

Boolberry need a good coreclock/memclock ratio. from 1000 to 1400 is a 40% increase.

Adjusting mem/core clock, and finding the optimal launchconfig is the key here. Modding the code is not enough...

The monitor is attached to that GPU.

You're just making up a bunch of random stuff now, I have quite a few 970s across multiple rigs. They all get around 1400.

The whole reason the 1060 was so slow (as per your post) is because the codebase was never updated for Pascal. The codebase (Wolf0s miner) is from 2014-15. Pascal wasn't out then. The old miner just needed to be retuned for Pascal as with all the other miners when Pascal came out, they had to be retuned for the new GPU architecture.

That's why I thought it was weird when Pallas was talking about having to mess with random read/writes. It's basically the same talk we got when Pascal first came out, then you guys figured out what to tweak and on almost every algo we ended up with the normal speeds, which is a 1070 is about 80% faster then a 970 and a 1060 is almost the same speed.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

The 970 and 1070 both have a 256bit bus. so the difference will be smaller.
It would be similar to mining Ethereum with a small dagger size.

The gtx 970 does around 23MHASH, and the 1070 does around 30MHASH.  (the gtx 1070 is only around 30% faster than the gtx 970 in the ethereum algo)

So if the gtx 970 does 1400 in boolberry, the 1070 should do around 1820. My modded kernel is doing 1860..

Thats why you should keep some of the coins you mine. If you always dump, you will miss profit..

Not sure if I am missing something but 970 did 1500 on bbr with basic overclocking and minerd, only needed to use wild_keccak_multi.cl on multi-gpu rigs.

I can understand pascal fix but other than that, what is the point for bbr-ccminer?

DASH is $78. I used to own a masternode when dash was down at $5... 1000 dash. Would had been worth $78,000 today... Sad

Original implementation had a lot of problems with stratums and stability. Go mine on a pool and see how close the hashrate is to that.

And no, it didn't do 1500. People 'one upping' for the sake of bragging rights.

Either way, 1800 isn't all that great. You can earn more with other coins. Pretty sure prices are up on all coins right now because bitcoin went up.

Yep, one year ago I made a test with eth profits, 5 btc for a 5x970 rig and another 5 btc to dcr pos-rig. Looking back now I should have never bought those 970's, should have gone all-in dcr.

I can't even look back some of my old sells, felt like king back then making huge profits but now I can see it on different light. I should have never sold for btc except those pure shitcoins.

Example from 2014, mined 480 dark in one night and sold it for btc, got about 10 btc. Felt like a good deal but look at it now, 10 btc=$12,000 but 480 dash=$37,000. Fuck.

It's not a matter of what to mine.
If you knew Dash would go that high, you would have sold your rigs to buy Dash.

True, but I think most of us has sold to early to pay the electric bills and buy more hardware.. I will try to keep 10% of my revenue in altcoins. Next year we'll see if it is a smart move..

That's the point. Or eth, xmr, dcr, xem, game to name a few.

Buying a gpu to mine is about the worst way to invest to crypto.

But lower risk.. a gpu can always be sold. And an altcoin can fall 90% in a day or more.

yeah not to mention that gpu can instamine some nice coins some times, or early mine when there is no exchange etc...

you can't do the same with trading, a good example was pascal, there were user that mined 10k coins in few days go look how much they made, when pascal reached 100k satoshi....
