what do you mean by "poor" ? Smiley
Long story ))
I start mining hobby with just one Palit GTX 750 1gb. Testing all sp_ releases and not only sp_'s. I oc'ed in to rather high values (i win chip lottery) so results was rather promising. I even send some donations )) Later I found that most of forum members have huge gpu resourses and I with only one card look "poor" )))
Then I got some amd gpu's fo free from my colleague and jump to eth )))
So now I can order a kind of replacement for my poor Palit 750 - Palit 1070.
And sure I will squeeze the maximum from it. Will see if it dies or not ))

The 2.5 slot Palit 1070 JetStream is superb. It can be OC to Super JetStream base clock speed easily and stay cooler than Gigabyte G1 Gaming. I think all Palit 1070 models are of same design (2 10cm fans, 5 heat pipes), only different is factory OC spec.

I spent 1 hour and ported the LBRY credit kernals to cuda from opencl. Opensource@github.

You cannot yet mine it, because I have to add the miner logic.

So what do you guys think of the upcoming 1060? Might be the first Nvidia card I actually buy since the 480 was a huge mess with the burning PCIe slots.

Drawing more power from pcie slot was solved
And 1060 is not as good for mining
Best NV card for mining is 1070 atm

considering that etheruem is not the top coin by a long shot, it mean that the 1060 in the worst case is the second best card, and if you want to buy a low budget rig 1060 is a good choice imho

Yes, 2000 and no oc, card choose this clock under load by itself.
I didn't measure power consumption from the wall for this single card yet but it seems to be +70-80 watt to my overclocked gtx 750.
It is very hot here so I set fans to 100% and have 65C gpu temp according to GPU-Z

Here is a screen shot mining SIA with gominer.
I downclock memory a bit ..

sp would normally wait for opensource release and then optimize that.

I am not sure what is going on this time, first it took only 1 hour and then we need weekend. For something that gets released anyway.

tick tock.

FOLLOWING THE THREADS--

After 1100+ pages of CudaMiner and 600+ pages of SP-MOD, readers and posters maybe notice that sp_ 's thread has been subjected to a lot of criticism, some of it very unfair, and much of it heated.  Assembly language allows squeezing optimization out of already good code.  It wouldn't suprize me if sp_ has a couple of strategies to plus-up some good code that has had a limited release already.

The thing is, some coders are sensitive, others jealous, and some don't have a good understanding of what release license(s) they may be operating with.  So, if code doesn't get to the public in a way that keeps everyone happy, the unhappy start complaining.  Is everybody happy?  I kinda doubt it.

I hope the code gets releasesd and rehashed in a way that keeps this thread peaceful.  I missed out on the wagon-ride this time, more worried about hardware at the moment.  Maybe I'll get my hands on the re-mix when it gets out.       --scryptr
