This was the extreme run to get the max what it can. I will use 310mhs@154watt (90%tdp) for a long run.

How much do you get @ 2025Mhz ?

gtx1070 with 170watt bios is not power limited with your version. The only limits are vddc and the max clock the card can handle.

Ahh, so you have modded the bios to 170watt ?

This is the results I claim:

LBRY sp-mod #3 vs opensource 1.8.1
Faster compute 5.0 +5-7% (750,750ti,960m)
Faster compute 5.2 +10-25% (950,960,970,980,980ti,titanx)
Faster compute 6.1 +5-7% (1070,1080) (gtx 1060 0%)

And they are pretty accurate. I get reports by ppl. who see a boost on their rigs, the pool and their profit.

For cards that doesn't trottle you get an extra boost by just increasing the intensity. Up to 29. My kernel can also be clocked higher than the opensource. +100mhz.

A 980ti clocked @ 1600mhz is almost impossible with the opensource kernel.

Max intensity is 25 in the opensource vs 31 in the sp-mod.
The max stable coreclock is always around +100mhz in the sp-mod.
The sp-mod doesn't trottle so fast (full boost)

No, I have Palit SuperJetStream. They all + GameRock and GameRock Premium have 170watt bios from the factory.

So we talk about 10% more than with the opensource miner. Not to mention you have to mine for SP_ for some time
I don't know in which pool you mine but is the reward covering it?

not really 283 + 10% would put this at 311, instead of 300 so only 6& increase, minus 2% fee, = 4% increase on pascal

I've got 322mhs with -i 27 intensity later ))

1.8.1 vs sp#3 70% tdp, strix 970 vs strix 970, intensity 25, windows 7x64 368.81

This is a confirmed +20% increase

Did you measure the watt on the sp-mod#1 compared to the opensource?  (70% TDP is around 105Watt? )
Can you try -i 26 or -i 27 or higher if it doesn't crash or trottle.

158MHASH / 105 watt is making 1,5047MHASH per watt. (gtx 970 standard clocks)(70% TDP)
255MHASH / 150 watt is making 1,7MHASH per watt (gtx 1070 standard clocks)

The opensource miner cannot go above -i 25. The sp-mod #3 can go to -i 29 stable on the gtx 1070

The clockspeed on the maxwell/pascal are dynamic. With the opensource the cards trottle and downclock themself. I have seen this on many models. Lowering the intensity might help.

Same card, same config. +20% with the sp-mod #3.
With -pstate=0 on the opensource version it don't throttle that much my GTX 1080 runs at 2088/1387,8 24h ... on Windows 10 with the latest driver so I don't get the assumption the Opensource version would throttle..i can't let this statement pass ...since it is not the fact. The max boost clock is 2130MHz with my Zotac AMP!.

GTX 1080Ti rocks da house... seriously... this card is a beast³
Owning by now 18x GTX1080Ti :-D @serious love of efficiency

how much with just 2000 core? i see you reached a crazy core, not so common with all kind of 1070

If you read his post, he has reduced the tdp limit of the card to 70% (105Watt). The sp-mod deliver 20% higher hashrate with the same watt as the opensource.

158MHASH / 105 watt is making 1,5047MHASH per watt. (gtx 970 standard clocks sp-mod #3)(70% TDP)
255MHASH / 150 watt is making 1,7MHASH per watt (gtx 1070 standard clocks)

The point is that the sp-mod is stable on higher clocks than the opensource miner. Rednow just confirmed it with 322MHASH on the gtx 1070. (-i 27)
The highest he got with the opensource miner was 290MHASH.

(+11%)

stability with just one card not always means with 6-gpu rig.
that's why it would be nice to see the hashrate with default clock or even with little OC.
