I'm only interested in same-power comparisons. Can someone please test sp-mod and tpruvot on low TDP (2/3 or 3/4 max), to have maximum efficiency and no throttle?

_sp_ please provide a screenshot with miner and gpu-z/overclocking utility to support you're claims,...because we have no way of validating you're results prior too purchase

Scroll back a few threads and you see screenshots reported by many users. Windows 10 has issues with high intensities.. Using -i 29 on the gtx 1070 and the 980ti only works in windows 7 and 8.1

302 mh on the 980ti wasnt stable for more than 4 hours. I think the core was near 1600. Still able to get 297 stable I think though. Might be able to increase intensity from 26 to 27 and get 300 stable.

My testcard has a tdp of 150W. the screenshot was taken with the 372.70 driver and windows 8.1 (-500 on the memory clock) Sp-mod LBRY #3 on a gtx 1070 with -i 29 Messured with a meter to 147Watt in the wall. (inno3d gtx 1070) default 150w tdp

So we talk about 10% more than with the opensource miner. Not to mention you have to mine for SP_ for some time I don't know in which pool you mine but is the reward covering it?

Look your clockspeed is different - did you run opensource version with -pstate 0? The condition should be all clockspeeds are the same. If I add the 200MHZ well sure it gives me more MH/s somehow i think...

The clockspeed on the maxwell/pascal are dynamic. With the opensource the cards trottle and downclock themself. I have seen this on many models. Lowering the intensity might help.
Same card, same config. +20% with the sp-mod #3.

This was the extreme run to get the max what it can. I will use 310mhs@154watt (90%tdp) for a long run. 2 _sp gtx1070 with 170watt bios is not power limited with your version. The only limits are vddc and the max clock the card can handle.

How much do you get @ 2025Mhz ? I don't know. with 154watt tdp it runs 2100@1.0v - 310mhs

Ahh, so you have modded the bios to 170watt ?

This is the results I claim:
LBRY sp-mod #3 vs opensource 1.8.1 Faster compute 5.0 +5-7% (750,750ti,960m) Faster compute 5.2 +10-25% (950,960,970,980,980ti,titanx) Faster compute 6.1 +5-7% (1070,1080) (gtx 1060 0%)
And they are pretty accurate. I get reports by ppl. who see a boost on their rigs, the pool and their profit.
For cards that doesn't trottle you get an extra boost by just increasing the intensity. Up to 29. My kernel can also be clocked higher than the opensource. +100mhz.
A 980ti clocked @ 1600mhz is almost impossible with the opensource kernel.
Max intensity is 25 in the opensource vs 31 in the sp-mod. The max stable coreclock is always around +100mhz in the sp-mod. The sp-mod doesn't trottle so fast (full boost)
