at the moment is just better to mine monero than doing all that stuff

500 h/s for a 1070 doesnt seem the most profitable...

yeah you need the sp mod which does 900hash, but i can do 700 with the open source one

Still not worth even at 900. You're winding in your super expensive power again and making blanket statements you think apply to everyone.

you didn't the math properly apparently, just check wattomine, with 900 per gpu it's equal to zcash

and what my power have to do with this? your logic is stupid, because if it suit for me with expensive power, it should be even more profitable for other

Depending on how much power is determines how much money you make, common sense, no? If you have expensive power, it may not pay to mine a algo that earns less then others that use more power. Currently Zcash uses more power then Cryptonote.

And no Monero is earning less then Equihash (especially ZCL) at 900hash vs 360(stock).

they use the same power that's the point, on my 6 x 1070 rig both use 700 watt full system, but obviously with only 700 hash per gpu with monero... is not worth it without the private miner...

and yes the earning is very akin now, at the moment zcash(zcl was just recently pumped i wasn't counting on that) is slightly more profitable if we take in consideration 900 hash per gpu, but they are there

sp said that it can be improved even more about 900 so...
The network tries to produce one block per 10 minutes. It does this by automatically adjusting how difficult it is to produce blocks.

Also to note zcash is on the down, where monero is constantly rising for now, so if you can mine as much XMR as you can right now, and sell them later, you would probably turn a better profit than mining zcash right now, but as you say, we would need to have this 900+ hash miner to do so Smiley

because you have to pay to breathe

Remember when  wolf0 wanted 50BTC on his work on the x11-x15 miner that was sold cheap and stolen?

Seems that the wolf is doing pretty good right now.

His public adress shows 200 BTC already. That is a $200 000 profit in a couple of years of spare time coding...

https://blockchain.info/address/1WoLFumNUvjCgaCyjFzvFrbGfDddYrKNR

Good payment for a few lines of code... But worth every penny..

He seems to be in the pocket of genesis mining now, and the opensource competition is only done by students and lamers

The xmr hashrates on the cheapest modded bios 470 cards is around 700-800h/s with the wolf0 miner.
The unreleased Sp-mod #2 is only doing 550 on the 10603gb. (but only 40 watt in the wall)

Pretty much, to have success in life, it's a matter of honesty and capability Wink

They don't use the same amount of power and even then, Equihash is currently earning more (revenue), especially ZCL. ZCL was earning more when you made that statement as was Zcash.

We weren't talking about 'what if's'.

I buy private Nvidia miners. Send information and/or inquiries to my PM box.

I didn't? I haven't been around in a bit I read most of the pages I missed but not all, I was just inquiring about performance differences. I assume he has one but he may not, or it may be private.

WHEN YOU ASSUME SOMETHING--

When you assume something, you readily make an ASS of U and ME.

There is currently no published Zcash miner form sp_.  He is able to assembly-language modify promising crypro code.  There may be a Zcash miner in the future.       scryptr.

WELL, THAT MAKES ME AN ASS--

I don't know how fast it was, or is, but I didn't remember it when I made my previous post.  Like the lost sp_ cryptonote miner...

After over 1100 pages of C. Buchner's CUDA thread, 800 pages of sp_'s thread, and countless boobies posting Miss Information, I deserve a break.       --scryptr

Yeah, anyday you want to release this miner that'll be good.

Curious though, I've asked for improvements to Cryptonote over the last couple years. Years ago when it was addressed I was told that there is no room for improvement because Cryptonote is so memory intensive.

Ahhh you said Years so i supposed it was 2+ years back Smiley Also well 970 against 1070, 1070 got 10% more mem bandwith, 50% more mem clock and 50% more memory (8gb against 4gb), this is quite big Smiley and also 20% more cuda cores aside from a few others things. Im eager to see what nvidia mining in 6 months will look, with all the optimisation coming, seems to get some traction Smiley well at least till the VEGA, that one seems very strong on paper Smiley

Yes of course, all is possible if it's worth it financially Smiley (FGPA/ASIC and such for example, or oil to take another example :p)
