I ordered 2 cards  3 cards

1080 zotac mini on eBay --from newegg  so full warranty new.  card was 489  I get discounts from eBay I had 265 in ebucks plus 1% and 1% that 265 is good for 30 days on eBay it was earn over the last 90 days.   the net on this card was around 260

1080 ti zotac fe from superbiiz 720 2 % discount 706

1080 ti aorus  720 + 60 tax = 780    6 months to pay it.

so out of pocket now = 1744   of which  780 I can pay in 180 days.  and due to correct timing on my cc the 966 I can pay in 45 days


cards are earning   0.01 btc per day.

  in 45 days  i would have .45 btc   minus very little power cost.

mind you  I cashed enough btc at 1116 to have the money in the bank to pay for these cards.

Now I spot play. Pay lots of attention to ratios of gear and cash and coins.

buying these 3 cards makes sense for me.  I had mobos ready and empty as I sold every rx 470 4gb and 8gb  plus I sold all my rx 480 4gb cards.

 down to 18 rx 480 8gb cards in 8 mobos
1 mobo with the nvidia
2 more empty mobos they won't be filled till Sept

I have to prep for summer power rates and summer heat.
Nvidia cards will let me mine in house in the summer at 20 cents a watt and turn profit.

I will me selling my amd and moving some to the solar array next month.
I really have a lot to learn on nvidia but I am happy with the first two the third comes on sat in about 12 hours.

No, no they aren't always there. There aren't Decreds laying around. It's getting lucky once in a blue moon. That's why it's such a big deal when someone exposes one of those coins, because there aren't that many of them and when one of them craps out, you're subpar earnings for quite awhile. AMD has niches as well in addition to much more solid everyday earnings.

The line that you are quoting may well have been written by CBuchner.  Some of the same coins that were efficiently mined by nVidia cards  (X11, Quark, Qubit, etc) are now even more efficiently mined by ASICS.         --scryptr

EDIT:  If you use Claymore's Dual Miner with nVidia cards, the inherint compute capabiity of nVidia cards shines.  The secondary coin harvest can be doubled or more with the proper "-dcri" setting.  This is possible with less loss of hashing power for the primary coin than with AMD cards.  Claymore's most recent release (v9.0) uses ASM kernels to enhance the capabilities of AMD cards.

Cards based on nVidia architecture have built-in low-energy ompute power. CUDA assembly code is the key to unlocking it.       --scryptr

You can instamine any new coin. Simply get on it when it launches. Not all coins ramp up either. There are plenty of shit coins.
