a question of curiosity: anybody was able to use the official sgminer for Signatum/skunk? I tried it but it did not work - black screen, 25% CPU consumption and nothing...

I think he was just stating out that sigt with his mod is still more profitable than others with his own testing result.
If you have only one card, of cuz it's not worth it right now, but for the people who got rigs, it's still fine or considerable. Of cuz, you can get a open source one if you don't want to pay.
Anyway, many people who bought the miner got on the train when sigt was 5 times profitable than now. I personally bought right before that happened, I'm happy with the result.

Well, ok, not open source, but free.. ccminerskunk-jha, I get almost identical results as I do with spmod3

EDIT: on closer inspection, it appears it *IS* the exact same. someone appears to have posted spmod3 to GitHub.  Not sure if anyone at GitHub would care though, since sp_ is violating the GPL himself by not distributing the source code.  FWIW, the GPL allows you to charge a fee for your version if you want, but you have to allow anyone to copy it once you give it to them, and you have to provide source.

if you have 12 gpu it would take 10 days, which is a good roi, but the point is that this mod was very good early when the value was higher, now the coin is dumped just hold until pow end

I remember I used it the first two days of signatum, it worked nice. Slow but nice

You should never buy a "leaked" miner.  If it is not from the original source (SP) it is probably compromised in some way (virus).  But you get what you pay for (or don't pay for)!
