^^wallet might need a few restarts to get through the tough spots

restarted half-a-dozen times and still stuck  Cry

Just uploaded a new bootstrap file for you. Please check the OP link to verify this as an official CannabisCoin distributed file.

Download and check the new file*:

You can check the zip file before unpacking it with the check sums:
md5sum: c8fe370259ed0e6dcabf3541ec491704
sha256sum: 7172c251c2c134792b374a6786686a2fee43b29e917f8c15f930a331928faad4

You'll need these once you unpack the zip file:

bootstrap.dat file, created at Mon 27 Jun 2016 10:34:24 AEST
md5sum: 1f15bb77a2b9df8729c832bb24ed5e9f
sha256sum: c3054d913a5e6996891ca8d52861bfdf3f3440b0c71beaca246f05a43a998895

Once you are happy with the integrity of the file unzip it to ~/Library/CannabisCoin and then restart the wallet. The wallet will prefer the bootstrap.dat file and load the chain from disk before renaming the file bootstrap.old and continuing to sync with the network. You may delete the file bootstrap.old or leave it if you have sufficient hard drive space. Renaming the file bootstrap.dat and restarting the wallet is all that's required if you ever need to download the blockchain again for some obscure reason. Make sure you back up your wallet.dat file once you have coins, everything else can always be recovered.

*You should verify this file before using it. To do so on a Mac open a terminal window (open spotlight & type "term" or in Finder double click ~/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app) and type the command "md5 path_to_file" (tip: you can type md5 and leave a space, then drag the file to check into the terminal window) and check that the response matches that listed above. To use shasum type "shasum -a 256 path_to_file". Either of these will give you reasonable certainty that the file has not been tampered with or otherwise corrupted.

Feel free to PM me if you have any further difficulties.

[edited for spelling]

OP link has been updated.

Hello: Dev's...WTF?!?!?!?! update the freaking bootstrap more regularly!!! this ridiculous "sync" more like suck, will take a damn year to complete...smh

Sorry but you are a good year or 2 late if your intentions are to connect with a dev.  Not sure where you got the idea that there is anything going on with this coin.  Should have maybe done even the slightest bit of research first...

I keep hearing it's dead, and it might be. But the mining reward has recently changed, along with new wallet software.

Seems they are doing a lot of work on the back-end as well.  Why would you quietly be working on a project... if it were completely dead.

If they were just setting up a scam.. I would expect a whole lot of hype, and posts.. a few videos.. some pictures.. more rumors of sites offering 1 gram per coin .. or at least a BJ.

As far as sync goes, for a new wallet.. it sucks

I am sharing my blocks folder via a torrent:

https://youtu.be/s2Ee0coxhNc  (in the video description)

let me know if you have problems downloading.

Remember, never trust anything from the internet, specially something from a Torrent from some strange guy on the internet.

But I am uploading it anyways.

I hadn't found any dispensaries to collaborate with, and frankly I didn't want to deliver a nothing burger. I have the source code completely done, the coin is ready to launch, I just want to get a dispensary to be in on the launch. Also, taking calculus based physics with lots of other upper division math and computer science classes (+ working) put a hell of a strain on me. So it's kinda on pause atm.

Hi guys,

i wanted to start my mining life few days ago but i came to following problems.
First i try it on my old notebook to check what kind of software i can trust and is free of shit.
Yeah i am a mining noob on my first steps into cryptocurrencies, dont blame me for this noob questions Wink

So i wanted to start with CannabisCoin and i tried to use following Cloud Mining:
Multipool.us
cann.suprnova.cc

Mining Software i am using:
ccminer v1.2 (as recommended on multipool.us)

Both Cloud Mining hosts are telling me how to start to mine.
Multipool tells me to use cmd, and following line

So as you see my workers name is P3rryr.1 and i am not using a PW.

Also cann.supernova.cc give me a similiar order.
When i execute this order i get following:
http://fs5.directupload.net/images/170720/6dknrymw.png

Looks like i started to mine?!
But when i check my worker on the cloud website there is no active worker?!
I mined 10h on multipool and 10h on supernova. First i thought it will just take few hours to see if they are active but after 10h still not active?
And yes i have a worker with the exact same name on both clouds.

What exatly i am doing wrong?

Would be nice if i get some help from you pro miners Smiley

Thx in advance!

You might have some trouble getting anything with a mobile GPU,

Before the payout change with CANN,  I was able to mine with just CPU on the cann.suprnova.cc pool.

Now it won't get anything.

I am using ccminer 2.0,  and mining directly to the pool, (not through cloud mining)

The command I am using:
"
ccminer-x64  -a x11 -o stratum+tcp://cann.suprnova.cc:4442 -u username.worker -p Password
"

Now when I was using CPU, with a low hashrate directly to the pool, it would take up to an hour for my worker to show active and working. Currently with the amount of other miners on this coin it may take a while to activate your worker.

If the pool does not show anything in an hour, do something different.

FYI,  https://cann.suprnova.cc/
is currently not doing payouts.

From their web page when I tried to do a payout:

"We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP. Payouts disabled, you will not receive any coins to your offline wallet for the time being"

Hi RabidFragle
Carnt forget that name on the pool list. makes me lol every time.

I have just sent a payment of 320 cann to my offline wallet, first time using it. Suprnova has sent the transfer but nothing showing. I couldnt test with smaller amount. Have I just lost it all? its been a good few hours now. is the cann network just slow?

I wish I had a better answer for you. Here is what I know:

1. you are not alone, lots of people are waiting for payments.

2. After a transfer I was able to see a notice that they are working on an issue, but the notice goes away soon after the transfer.

3. On the pool web page, the transfer is listed as complete, but it does not hit your/or in my case, my wallet.

There are risks when using bitcoins, Exchanges, Wallets, Pools, ect all have their own risk associated.

Your local wallet can be lost, hacked, stolen..

An exchange can be hacked, robbed, experience a major failure and lose everything.

And a pool can have back-end problems and not be able to payout for a period of time. Or the pool could go down and you could lose everything in that account.

My thoughts are that Supernova handles a lot of pools, the error I saw stated that they are working on it. I expect it to come up eventualy and back payments to go through
Or they cancel all payments that did not go through and you will have to go back and re-schedule new payments or auto pay will transfer.
I don't think it's a scam, because.. they would scam on something much more profitable than this.

Is this coin actually legit? I read somewhere some time ago that CANN was considered a scam. Is there any substance to that?
