Thanks chilly, I glanced it once, but after careful read through I got it to compile now.  So the code on github is not yet updated?

Just need to wait for the wallet to sync now, then I'll test it out.

floz is a turd made by a no-name dev.  at least with CANN you have (had?) something with real potential, maryJ too.  i've given up on cann for the most part so i've made my choice...hopefully i dont miss out but oh well.  i've contacted devs to get onto 1ex.trade so i'm doing my part to help them and traders spread alts...what are you doing?

Hey guys. I recently found and bought this new cannabis coin called floz in an ico on ccex. Since then I've been wanting to pick up a few more weed coins to add to the stash.
Because I'm so late to this party I was hoping maybe one of you can fill me in on the life of cann up till now so I can have a better picture before investing.
With floz it was easy because it was new, but you are old and its too much to have to read 100+ pages.

Lmao please stop the pathetic shilling promo of the latest weed coin.  Yes one or more groups or whales are in it (prob created that crap)  and it's seeing the usual fake volume and manipulation of most vaporware coins. Not to mention a no name Dev who hides and deletes posts. Cann is dead in the water and will not recover, ppl don't need another shitcoin to lose btc in.

FLOZ was once of the worst scams in history. They took the ICO funds then said they aren't doing the plan and quit. They never returned the money. Anonymous coins have this problem.

Luckily $CANN has a known dev/supporter who makes youtube videos. It's also a well known coin.

$CANN is super cheap right now. Be smart and buy some for anyone you know who is in need of medicine. We're still really early on.

If you look at the coins that are listed there then the exact same thing is happening to many different coins. The reason is that it is almost impossible to withdraw bitcoin so the people there buy altcoins to get their funds out. This in turn inflates the price of the coins there, doge is also a good example for it.

It will all depends on the network hash rate and the capability of the miner you are using. But if I were you its better to use those available pools listed in the OP than solo mining CANN.

just tried to setup the potcoin wallet, done a bootstrap thing and it still got stuck at about 12 weeks..ok I'm not the best with computers but I think people need a wallet that you just have to press 1 button..no changing nodes and adding bootstraps....ok complaining over...could someone write a dummy proof way of getting the potcoin wallet working, i want to get my coins of the exchanges and start staking....cheers

Cryptsy FAILED

About a year and a half ago, we were alerted in the early AM of a reduction in our safe/cold wallet balances of Bitcoin and Litecoin, as well as a couple other smaller cryptocurrencies.   After a period of time of investigation it was found that the developer of Lucky7Coin had placed an IRC backdoor into the code of wallet, which allowed it to act as a sort of a Trojan, or command and control unit.   This Trojan had likely been there for months before it was able to collect enough information to perform the attack.

These are the approximate figures taken:
Bitcoin:  13,000 BTC
Litecoin:  300,000 LTC
This of course was a critical event for Cryptsy, however at the time the website was earning more than it was spending and we still have some reserves of those cryptocurrencies on hand.   The decision was made to pull from our profits to fill these wallets back up over time, thus attempting to avert complete closure of the website at that time.   This worked fine for awhile, as profits decreased due to low volume and low Bitcoin prices, we would adjust our spending accordingly.  It wasn’t until an article from Coinfire came out that contained many false accusations that things began to crumble.   The article basically caused a bank-run, and since we only had so much in reserves for those currencies problems began.
