There's a problem with the windows wallet version 1.6.6.7. It gets stuck at block 956987. I downloaded the bootstrap, this works fine. Wallet syncs up to block 956987 then further blocks get rolled back to 956987 with an error in the log saying:
04/10/19 06:50:16 ERROR: CheckProofOfStake() : INFO: read txPrev failed 04/10/19 06:50:16 WARNING: ProcessBlock(): check proof-of-stake failed for block
Eventually the chain starts downloading again, and this failure repeats over and over. I have a copy of the blockchain past this point on a separate machine. I've heard this has also happened to other POS coins, and the solution is to update the bootstrap file (which is currently quite old btw)
Thanks
EDIT: So I've downloaded 1.6.6.7b and the new bootstrap. Now it only makes it to block 820988 before the same problem occurs.

Which version do you use? 1.6.6.7 or the latest 1.6.6.9b? https://github.com/philosopherstonecoin/philosopherstone/releasesI remember that I had problems with the bootstrap file some years ago, too. So I synced all blocks completely. It took round about 3 days.

FreiExchange is a modest but trustworthy exchange. We are proud to list PHS coin. Why do we have low volume? We didn’t ask for a listing fee, we don’t prop-up markets in any significant way, nor do we create fake volume. We count on the community to support their coin. At this point in the ending of the alt-coin winter, please come and help us support your coin by helping fill up the order books at our exchange to make a market. We don’t have any trading fees. https://freiexchange.com/

get prepared for stake reward halving in September 2019! (50% -> 25%) - update at least to version 1.6.6.7 or higher ( 1.6.6.8 or 1.6.6.9b) (3 out of 12 connected wallets still use 1.6.6.4 no update -> no stake rewards!) - Now, get some more PHS ( https://freiexchange.com/ ) in order to make some more profit with the full stake reward for August

Thinking about the block rewards, we need the website up and block explorer as well if we ever want to grow the community...
VladK if you don't want to host the phstone website because of budget we can arrange that. I'm sure everyone can contribute, or take over if you don't want to get involved in the project anymore.
Let's coordinate: who is reading this in this thread and be interested in planning a project revival ?

I'll do what I can. I'm not a coder so no help there. I do have webspace for hosting if that helps, not sure I can get root access though?

Block 1'060'000 ... So I guess the question should have been: "At what block did halving occur?"

The hoster that hosted philosopherstones.org had turned off his servers and run away, though the hosting was paid till the end of this year. The problem is that phs.org is complicated custom python software that requeres postgre database, web proxy, caching etc. All configuration files are lost of course, and I need a few days to configure everything again on a new hosting. And I have no free time now. I will buy more expensive and reliable hosting and repair phs.org later. Have no exact date, but before the New Year.
But, as before phs community needs somebody who will lead telegram channel, discord channel, reddit, facebook channel maybe, write Medium articles and so on. Without this work PHS will die, and I can't do this job.

Hi VladK, Great to read you. It's great that you can look after the hosting of the philosopherstones.org website again. Is it possible to recover the content of the previous website? It was really good and contained reporting of the 'on-chain chat'. Let us know if you need help with support or funding. Absolutely agree, we need to have a good communication channel. Telegram sucked as it was full of bots and scams, and no interesting discussion was happening. If i spend time on something now it would be Discord. Most projects are now using Discord - funny enough PHS was among the very first projects to use that platform; we were ahead of our time, as always Do you still have the link to that particular Discord? Or shall I create a new one? Happy to animate it as well. Writing an article could make sense, I will try to write something when I get a chance. This project is awesome and still has a lot of potential! On the QT now, would you want to upgrade the SSL version? I think it's important. And it could serve in a relaunch/rebrand of the project. Is that something that you could tackle? Last but not least, we need some of the big holders to stake, at least a portion of what they have, as network weight is getting lower by the day. Long life to PHS!

I just ran a check of my wallet because the balance kept changing unexpectedly. There were a few orphans so I ran a repair and lost about 10% of my stones, is this normal?

Hi Muzzargh, same here. But now it's back up. It's a problem of low amount of staking and difficulty adjustment, i believe. We'd really benefit from stakers with bigger wallets - guys can you please stake for a while? Also it seems that someone had the wrong clock time. Can everyone check and adjust?

Aborted I think you need to go back to the previous version(s) of Boost library; check the readme. On Linux you also need to compile with an old SSL library (but the above doesn't seem to relate to that issue). VladK? Noob_two? Palmdetroit? Any other idea?
