Have you never taken a test like that before? Stop being a scaredy cat. That information is compiled by the credit agencies. It's called knowledge based authentication.
No, I have not seen anything like that before, which may explain my apprehension. I am asking how they linked it to me as I don't believe I provided enough information about myself that should allow them to. Yeah, it's like a built in credit bureau that knows everything about you and matches you up with your ID through the various questions. Creepy if you ask me. That is why, if you value privacy, that you should do all of your trades locally through person-to-person transactions. Is it known what "markers" they use? I did not provide an accurate name, street address or telephone number. It seems IP address or email address are enough? That doesn't seem right. If they can pull such detailed information, I assume they know my age so why would they REQUIRE a person to know the EXACT dollar amount their parents payed for a home when they were 10 YEARS OLD in order to even log into their site to see the features. Stupid if you ask me. If my parents were deceased or we were not on speaking terms, I would never have been able to log in.

Mt. Gox shenanigans going on there right now. $500 stuck in process. Their systems must be good, I got an email about the transaction failure quickly. Heard nothing since. Have been a regular with BI for some time, not anymore if they drag this out. ZipZap and BI confirmed receipt of payment. Its only two days, but price is already up $10 per btc. > Transaction ID: 7f1277f0-a093-410f-aa14-afff36bc33e0

Figures they'd do "maintenance" when BTC prices are low.

Figures they'd do "maintenance" when BTC prices are low. They could have _easily_ disabled the purchase option. Instead they chose to take monies and claim it's a back-end problem. Still no response from my initial ticket on Saturday, or any followup from their automated e-mail to me on Saturday. I'm giving them 72 more hours to contact me. (120 hours total - the exact amount of time they give users to complete transactions) Then I'm contacting ZipZap and Western Union.

They held my $300 I sent in 2 transactions for 2 weeks. Recently I got the first $200 to bitstamp. THey charged fees though somewhere I heard that they don't charge fees when the payment is delayed. Now I am waiting for the remaning $100 but not getting any replies. I included all info about both transactions when I opened the ticket but they sent only $200 (first tx) and talk to me like it's been resolved. JUL 03, 2013 | 05:18PM EDT Alyssa replied: Hey there.
Your funds have been manually processed into your Bitstamp account. We apologize for the extreme delay in fulfilling this order. We appreciate your patience while we worked through some technical issues. You should see the funds in your account soon. Best,
Alyssa Customer Service Manager, BitInstant

Received e-mail and payment an hour ago. This is 6 days after initial transaction of July 6.
It was really nice of you to refund my ZipZap and BI fees and manually processed the payment, which is appreciated.
However, the 24 hour high price from July 5 to July 7 was $ 71. I received the correct amount of bitcoin, based on a $ 93 price.
I'm not going to give you the benefit of the doubt, and will assume BI bought at $71 and sold me at $ 93.
5.4BTC * $22 per BTC = You just lost a repeat customer.
