I know right, the lines used to be green, yellow, and blue! Sometime around when that ugly bar at top came, the white theme was broken.

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

It was good life when the first thing you did every morning after wakeup was not heading directly towards your computer....

Buy orders at $13.50, $13.60 or both look absolutely false to me. This can't be good. On the other hand, they're piddling resistance to a crash anyway.

Also, as far as I can tell, sales at $15 and $15.50 are entirely legit and will stand. Should be interesting...

Ai, ai captain!

Thx for catching this I wanted to post it but well my screen shot is lost in the terabytes...

My theory of why the depth looks like it does:

Sellers know they'll get their price so aren't taking big dumps.  Buyers know this so there is no incentive for smart/large buyer to put up a bid and of course doing so is counterproductive in that it shows the sellers that the interest is there.  This could cause sellers to pull back.

So you get this chart with a sharp knife of bids and a low bump of asks.

A few sell walls do exist.  It is uncertain whether these are legitimate or attempts at manipulation.  The manipulation could be to hold the price down but it could be to try to suck buyers up and then reform the wall at a higher price.

So the buyers slowly creep the price up without creating much fervor and then CHOMP!  Eat a huge chunk out of the ask wall.

It the movie "Tremors" but in chart form  Cheesy.

Welcome to 2011.  By comparison this is actually quite tame.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.
