I don't know how to determine that from the orderbook. It certainly wasn't an 'all at once' sell, I think the selling was normal market correction adjusting to the weak bid-side after the large previous purchases. I can say that the purchases we're seeing are not being put on the orderbook immediately afterwards... If they are trying to sell on the way up it would have to be in much smaller orders at or near market. My guess is that the big buyers are in for at least mid-term. They may be trying to gently corner the market, let it stabilize at a higher price and then provide it gradual liquidity at that price. Seems like a decent strategy for large capital in the BTC market to me. -bgc |
