Not the same, bit it might be similar. In both cases a short term bubble popped and in both cases there was an extremely negative short term confidence shaking event - mtgox hack vs pirate default.

I speculate a lot of people have turned short term bears but who knows.

Might be, but I still have trouble thinking that pirate default is net bearish.
If I had lost any BTC with pirate, I would buy some back.

Or you'd be pissed off at Bitcoin (instead of your own stupid ass) and leave for a while.. coupled with traders mistakenly expecting an increased demand because of the default could be a perfect storm brewing.

I wish btccharts didn't again have to limit the portion of the orderbook it shows. Is he again having problems with mtgox api server blocking him or what's going on? Does anyone know?

Yes,  mtgox blocked full depth API for btccharts server. This was loaded every 5 minutes (just like mtgox said to me). But ..I've still got blocked (suddenly after 2 weeks with no changes on my side).
Tomorrow I will try to go back to full depth (it's standard 24h block).

BTCCharts.com - still for free!

I see.

Btw may I suggest that next time, if you're going to have your own forum instead of your own thread here on this forum that requires me to sign up if I wanted to ask something, you at least write a short notice letting people know what's going?

I think that spending less than minute for registering is not too much to ask. You can always just send mail to admin@btccharts.com, or PM me.

you at least write a short notice letting people know what's going?
Whole situation is described here, and here, so there's no need to write about it every time.

Could I have a free subscription? It would help make it easier for me to post pictures of walls (the zoom function).

It went east, not north.

ur wall is outdated, Adam...

and scared the crap outa me, thought I started the bots in the wrong direction. >.<

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Hmm, tempted to place a bet.  This one seems easy.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.
