so, according to Keiser, when bitcoin hits $2700 per coin then it would be on par with the market capitalization of silver..

According to Giszmo, same is true for gold at about $800,000.

Or in other words:
Market cap of BTC: 2,000,000,000
Market cap of Gold: 8,000,000,000,000

So that's kind of a scary thought.

The stereotypical 4-door sedan is now something you could probably buy for only 100 BTC.

50-75 BTC for the more ecconomic models.

Granted I'm probably not the best one to be making judgements of car prices but the price is getting to where bigger items could easily be managed in coin, and that's pretty cool.

Oh Loaded, who art up in Mt. Gox, hallowed be thy name!  Thy dollars rain, thy will be done, on BTCUSD.  Give us this day our daily 10% 30%, and forgive the bears, as we have bought their bitcoins.  And lead us into quadruple digits

Mt. Gox just happened to update their Facebook...

"Orders will only be accepted when there are enough funds available in your wallet!

Dear users, starting on April 17th we will be rolling out a minor change on how people place orders via the Mt.Gox interface.

Until recently, anyone could place a buy or sell order for Bitcoin, regardless of how much funds were actually available in their wallet, resulting in an order showing a "Not enough funds" error status in the Open Orders list.

Starting on April 17th, this counter productive scenario will no longer be possible and will be automatically rejected before validating your order; until you have enough funds in your wallet to match the order value.

While this change should only affect a minority of users, it will however have a major impact on our trading platform and improve our system overall performance."

Awesome news Wink

I still have a hard time believing i'm a millionaire now with a measly 5000BTC... and still kick myself over losing that much to a hard drive failure way back... and the pirate 'investment'...

I haven't made any orders through Mt Gox yet, will this prevent you from setting both a sale price and buy back price or do they provide other ways to do this?

Careful advertising that. Out of curiosity, how would you handle things if tomorrow the market dropped to ~$30USD/BTC?

I have a hard time believing I'm not a millionaire because I was too busy slaving away in a 9-5 job to even know bitcoin existed.

Its all in cold storage.. good luck. I'd probably cry for a day or 2, and keep living the same life I have been...

You lost 5k BTC on a drive?  Geez that hurts just reading it. Is that in the known lost BTC tallies?

Damn, better then I would.

Btw that wasn't a threat just advice. A lowly new millionaire with access to highly liquid and possibly untraceable currency probably isn't going to stand his ground if people find out where you live and have the desire. Just a word of advice, feel free to take it or leave it didn't mean anything by it.
