There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. Server-assisted clients like blockchain.info rely on centralized servers to do their network verification for them. Although the server can't steal the client's bitcoins directly, it can easily execute double-spending-style attacks against the client.

Do you get an eerie feeling? I do.

I mean, all those swanks, kindergarten plans about taking down the fiats, government monopoly on money, and one true money to rule them all, the revolution, are going to be somehow...executed?? This thing is serious? It's going to work out? For real?

Even a slight hint of such possibility is making me feeling....unprepared.

Well, bitcoinity is moving again.  I'll take any amount of lag as long as orders still show up and not in one huge wave.
