Today in bitcoin: $3 million appeared on the order book, and then $3 million went away.

Seems like lots of people are cashing out.  It's only a matter of time before USDs on MtGox are overwhelmed.

*breathes sigh of relief*

I was worried there for a second, until I noticed the author's name.

i was 14,250 in gox queue on Saturday, now i'm 11,800

one day later and i'm only 11,620 Sad

Now i'm 10,360 so i've moved nearly 4k places while the queue has still gone up over 4k, so i guess that means about 8k new requests since Saturday?
How many of those are signing up to cash out? 10% maybe?
Maybe more, you only find out you need to be verified (again) when you want to get your USD out.

It's how many people are waiting in line to use MtGox.

To be clearer, it is the number of people who want to move >$5k per day into gox or >100 BTC per day out of it less the number of SEPA depositors, +/- all the fuzzy exceptions which gox only knows the full extent of.

My buddy just signed up for a MtGox account. He was put in the queue just to get a verified account.

I do not know charts very well but looking at the current price pattern I would say that it is one of those converging triangle things where once the lines meet anything can happen...

I am sure someone else can probably explain it better.

Yes, according to this theory, which is usually correct, there will be another good-sized move... at about 5:00 PST.

While I think these kinds of gains will continue for a while longer, obviously this can't go on forever.  At this rate, we would break 2000 in another week.  There's got to be an inflection point coming up somewhere along the road.  But who knows, maybe we wont even hit it until after 2000.

It just went up almost $50 in one day and dropping less than $10 is a slow panic? Feels more like a a slowing of a panic to me. A panic buy.
