Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Kind of interesting.  Since the reports of people being unable to deposit BTC into Mt.Gox I have seen very few sell orders outside of the .01 bot.

I guess we can deduce that most people transfer their BTC right before selling.  I figured more people would just have their BTC hanging out on Gox.

3,600 to go over 13.80

I'm curious as to why this number has you so worried? It's just another wall. We've seen them before Cheesy

who said the word 'worry' or any derivation before you did?

True, but this is the "Wall Observer" thread and he's doing a great job  Smiley

that would be a donation to you but I don't see an address in your sig Wink

Lol, one guy was pushing his 700 something ask wall from the lowest ask price to the highest bid price, about 0.03 $ a time, then gets eaten at 13.65, don't know what he was thinking.

He got more money than just placing a market order. He probably wanted to get a USD withdraw started before the weekend.

Then he shouldn't just withdraw and place his ask again each time at such small price difference/time intervals, what difference does it make besides him getting less USD?

Time, he gets to issue his USD withdraw now instead of waiting XX minutes, also other people could continuously place lower asks then him and he could be forced to fight them for XX minutes.
