How long have we been thinking this day was coming, Techno?  Cheesy

It's a bit surreal. When the 2011 high happened, I was a Bitcoin newbie. It happened 2 months after I first found out about Bitcoin. Now I consider myself an expert on the subject, and it's both a hobby and a business for me.

I still remembered the excitement around then. Has anyone here ever capitulated? I did, right at the bottom of $2 I sold 30% of my holdings and buy back one day later with a small loss.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Nope... just bought some, used some, bought some more... the fundamental idea of Bitcoin is extremely sound and always has been.

Does anyone have a picture of the orderbook as it was when we reached $31.91 in 2011? I'm curious to see how it compares to the current orderbook. Smiley

Haha, it looked like someone was trying hard all day to keep the price below 31.30. Even after the first wall was eaten they made a new one, then it was being munched on just now, and BOOM 4k wall and sell off, lol.

Clearly Adam is throwing thousands of coins at the exchanges in an attempt to win his 2 coin bet! Wink

We should rename the weekend dip to "weekend dump attempt".

It's actually quite adorable how the bears still think they can create panic like they used to, either by dumping or bad posting.  Dear Bears: When you dump people are just going to buy more coins and thank you for your valiant effort to bring the price down a dime or two.  Thanks for trying though.

Was the dump the wall at $31 or did they take it down after the dump?

In the meantime we're up to where we left off  Cheesy

It was put up and taken down after the dump, and that blew the scammers cover. I think we have had our weekend dip.

They tried dumping and padding up with walls as they went. But the walls either got eaten or taken down pretty quickly as the upwards pressure built.
