uh oh Gibraltars are all jumping into bitcoin now

Question is, have they all jumped into it already? Grin

I mean, this is Big Poker adopting Bitcoin, the best news ever, right? Why just $50?

Ipoker is the 4th network worldwide, quite far behind Pokerstars (source), and it's only one of their room (presumably a small one).
Still it's very good news, and only the beginning.

Pokerstars will accept it at some point (just too profitable because of transaction & fraud costs), then we'll be able to say online poker is a conquered market  Grin
If someone from Bitpay is reading, please go ask them. They have to be one of the best customer you can find Wink

An even bigger bullish flag, in this case. When the price jumps to $100 all of the sudden, know Pokerstars insiders jumped in Grin

Here's the thing. Bitcoin hasn't made it, REALLY, yet. Which means, if you believe bitcoin will "make it" and become a viable currency, then $50 is only the start. Every little crash is an opportunity to buy, regardless of how high it currently is. Remember the last time we had the major crash, you still couldn't even buy anything with bitcoin. THAT was pure speculation. This time around there are lots of things you can buy with bitcoin, and every day brings us news of more businesses accepting bitcoin. So, maybe it's speculation, but there is real world reasons fueling it.

Seriously... I wouldn't call nothing below 2k btc a "dump". This is small-volume trade, nothing like yesterday.

Edit: realized we just had a 2.5k "dump" indeed.

Bulls put up a good fight, but there seems to be too much downward pressure right now.

That would be optimistic. But it could happen. We have to hit $50 sometime. So any price is good really.

The bears side is equipped with some rapid-firing weapons, along with a special transportation system called "blockchain", they can  deliver dozens of thousands of rounds of ammunitions into their enemies in just a few hours, but their ammunition is limited and not regenerable. The bulls side, on the other hand, possesses some seriously high-caliber heavy weapons, which take a long time to reload, potentially several days, but once they get loaded..... Wink

Maybe one day pokerstars starts accepting bitcoins, but us player will still not be allowed to play at pokerstars.

ya gotta feel for all those people chucking up the low bids of only fractions of a coin
atleast they will own a few million, in a couple of years when they they decide to sell some
whereas people buying the full coins are all knowing they will be the richest people in their
respective locations over the globe in a few years years once acceptance grows

Those small bids are going to be the automated trading bots influencing the most recently traded prices and driving the price up/down depending on what they're looking for.

I think it's likely that whoever is operating them has a huge amount of BTC.
