Zombie Joe Mordica also updated his twitter bio. Now he is just a "Christ Follower and Husband -- Tech Nerd".

Hmm interesting I actually never paid any attention to his twitter was he listed as having worked for Gaw on it before?  Did the update remove that?

Yeah, it did. IIRC, after the Jesus business, it said "CTO Gaw Miners" or something similar before. Definitely mentioned GAW by name.

I think we have enough evidence to conclude that Joe is no longer with GAW.  As to why, just another thing for us to speculate on but I find it interesting in and about when he went silent large amounts of xpy were moving around.  *begins to puff on pipe* I wonder....

Maybe he's just using his real name now; I thought the real Joe Mordica was dead and this was a pseudonym.

EDIT: I found this its from 2008 some cheese video with Joe in it has his name listed as Joe Mordica so if he is using a fake name its been for a long time.  Not sure about this.

There is only one public Facebook page in the entire universe belonging to a Joe Mordica.

Two Joe Mordicas of similar age went to USM within about 5 years of each other.

(The latter is gleamed from the following. The passed Mordica was a student at USM when he died at 24 in 2012. In 2015, a bio for CTO Mordica has him with seven years industry experience. Now, if you're assuming CTO Mordica isn't lying, these can match up if you count jobs held in/before college as industry experience. Which people usually do.)

Ok so I found this second obscure google + profile https://plus.google.com/114293259207798777222/posts that has megan mordica (I wont post any photos because its a baby) in his circle which would link him to the Joseph Anthony Mordica , age 29 profile from the intelius report you sent me.  So there's a middle name now.  Just have to call USM and find out of there was a Joeseph Anthony Mordica enrolled there.

I think the Joe Mordica thing is dead. There just happened to be two people with that fairly rare name two years apart in age who went to the same college.

What i find strangest of all is that if you look at the "Dead" JM's sister's facebook friends list - guess who's on it?  The alive JM.  (Not posting links, but this is all public stuff anyhow).

Here's what I don't get.

People are still buying XPY. prima facie this looks like a good investment. You buy XPY for a couple of bucks, then, some time in the next few years, you get $20 for it.

What I don't get is why people think GAW won't go bankrupt in the near future. If they go bankrupt, then this $20 obligation will be one of the first things to go, and people will just get their coins back from escrow. Unless they have some kind of way to generate revenue, I don't see how they can stay around more than a few months. How are they making money? Volume on hashmarket has died, hashstakers aren't being sold, and any paycoins they have aren't worth very much. How can this company stay afloat? And if it can't stay afloat, why would anyone buy XPY?

I haven't made my mind up yet if the Joe story is creepy. If it turns out that he removed GAW references to stay out of spotlight we might be stepping over the line a bit, although it would be about time for GAW to confirm or deny if Joe and Eric are no longer employees.

Ahhh, memories. My first rig was actually a zx81, the precursor to the zx-80. You actually had to assemble it even. Bought it out of the ads in Popular Electronics, or maybe Radio Electronics or Practical Electronics. I read or subscribed to all of those back then.


Then I moved up to a Vic 20 when those came out- what a powerhouse! And COLOR even! Pretty sure I paid more for that Vic 20 setup (with the fancy tape recorder and extra memory, IO adapter, etc) than I have in my current rig.

Once upon a lifetime I worked for Sinclair Research Ltd. in Milton, Cambridge. Best part was the C5 project and sending Clive off in a "turbo version".

DEC VAX mainframe that was revered and the waferscale lab that was strictly off limits to anyone not working on it.
